The season pass for Injustice: Gods Among Us gives us access to four new fighters (Lobo, Batgirl, Scorpion and the last remains unannounced... although the accurate leak points to General Zod), and now NetherRealm Studios' creative director Ed Boon has confirmed they aren't done with DLC characters after that! Boon is well-known for teasing on Twitter, but this is a clear and direct official announcement: there's at least one more DLC character on the way. The best news of all? He claims this combatant "came from player requests."

If the leak holds up and the fourth DLC character is General Zod, then I have to assume this fifth character is Martian Manhunter. There's been so much demand for the character and he was even teased at the end of Scorpion's trailer. The character select screen absolutely has room for at least three more characters after the fifth addition, so here's hoping they offer a second season pass (which would hopefully include a good skin pack, of course). Additionally, Boon stated the fourth character will be revealed next week.

The TV show could possibly be Conan. He does this video game review, called Clueless Gamer, on his show and he works on the Warner Brothers lot.

I doubt it. The season pass specifically stated it's good for the first four DLC characters.

Bought lobo as a single. Thought batgirl was an average at best choice. Scorpion was a terrible choice that I wouldn't own load if it was free. Zod is a maybe. Martian manhunter I'd download ASAP

Yeah, It is probably going to be Zod and Martian Manhunter. Here's to hoping they add Starfire and Beast Boy in there too though!

Since there are already so many Titans in the game I'd love for there to be a few more. Starfire would translate easily into this games fighting style. I'd love to have Beast Boy in the game as well, but his moves would take a lot more work to implement since instead of punches and kicks each would have him changing into a different wire frame, so it probably wouldn't happen for a DLC situation.

@alkusanagi: Who asked for Scorpion anyway? This is a DC fighting game, I don't want that douche. I definitely want Martian Manhunter. I also think Gorilla Grodd, Swamp Thing or Animal Man would be fun.

This game needs Swamp Thing.

The characters I really want to see are Etrigan The Demon and Jonah Hex. Etrigan would be great, fire breath, claws, and demon magic. He would fit so well in the style and tone of the game.

Jonah would use the guns, the rope, the tomahawk, etc, like a low tech deathstroke. Since the game is present day, his opening cinematic would have to be him walking away from a bounty only to trip into a time ripple caused by the dimensional tear. He would land in the fight arena, stand up, look around, and exclaim "aw hell, not again!" and prepare to fight. That last line being a nod to HEX and such.

Welcome to the age where they put less & less on the disc. Glade everyone is enjoying the game, but just find it crazy this games still cost $60 & I have to fork out more money. Also can we please get a DC game that isn't fighting game.

My absolute must haves for the next four are Orion, Bizarro, Etrigan, and Beast Boy

It's really simple logic at this point, for those who bought the SP and assumed which characters they were getting is just silly...DC or otherwise. That's why they give us the choice to buy it or not...;)

Even if they added more characters say Orion, Swamp Thing, BB, Black Lightning etc you'd still have some fan out there complaining over the choice who may have wanted someone else. Given the ridiculous amount of DCU characters, it's just impossible to please everyone literally. Who loves that character, who hates that character...just buy the game and enjoy it if you're a DC fan or don't play the game at all. That's how I feel at this point.

And honestly, those DC fans complaining about Scorp bought him anyway...lol all over online everyone has him I've seen or played with since he's been released lol. I'm a fan of both MK and DC so it doesn't bother me, it's one character besides not 5 MK characters. I personally could have done without Killer Frost, Batgirl and Harley but hey I'll live with it...

dude, this is the first big major DC fighting game to ever come out. Most DC games aren't fighting games...The last DC fighting game that came was Justice League: Task Force in the early 90's...as for money, they all do it now for profit and to keep the game alive longer, but at least NRS charges far less unlike Capcom who charges for every little costume, no free ones and makes 10 versions of the same game charging $40.00 each...I'll pass and gladly play Injustice over MVC any day.

If they do choose MM as the fifth DLC... Then all I have to say is: IT'S ABOUT TIME! I'M TIRED OF HIM STANDING IN THE BACKGROUND WATCHING FIGHTS.

Next Week? General Zod indeed.

I think MM is a given though I think they need characters like blue beetle. Or superboy or girl. Or power girl as said before. Or maybe a red lantern.

I think it needs some nice skins. Especially for Wonder Woman. She looks like a dude.

Also, it'd be nice if they released a second Blackest Night skin pack that includes Luthor in orange, Wonder Woman in Star Sapphire, Flash in blue, Green Lantern, Sinestro, and Superman in white, ect, ect, then maybe a Brightest Day pack with all the white lanterns

You think this announcement coming out so soon is Boon trying to calm people down after the news of Scorpion was not met with much praise?

I for one am excited for some new characters and would be happy if they did 3 season passes. Give us more fan favorites and maybe an odd ball DC character like Barda or maybe even Mera.

You know, it just occurred to me that for some odd reason I would love to see Booster Gold and Ambush Bug in this game.

still don't know why Martian Manhunter is in such high demand. He's already a background character and what not, and theres definetly alot more people i think deserve it (Zatanna, Black Canary, Atrocitus, Bronze Tiger....)

@hamlet33: Doomdsday is a background character in the Fortress of Solitude and he's a playable character.

Have you heard of the rumored 2nd Season Pass, which is to included MM, Red Hood, Power Girl, Sub Zero. They could have picked a villain like Black Manta instead of PG, there's only one reason why people want PG in Injustice, her rack! lol kinda wasting a slot if she doesn't turn out awesome.

I really hope MM gets a cool Injustice design, but I don't think Zatanna would not translate well in this fighting game. But with all the requests for her I could easily see her in the 3rd Season Pass if they chose to have a 3rd Season.
