Ok.Remember during Illuminati when they retrieved the gems and they each took one and hit them...Are the Pet Avengers now finding where they hid them or was this retconned to never happen?

i think its finding where they hid them. being five people that are rather close to each other, they probably found it unwise and hid them far apart, though to the best of my knowledge nothing was said directly. im more curious as to why theyre being led to bring them back together again, or who is leading them, seems like Thanos but this book hasnt let me down and i wouldnt be shocked if it was someone else.

hmmm...could be. plus Thanos was in his original costume. im forgetting that the Illuminati were around for a long time.

Uncanny has also been around since I first learned to read.The good art is sometimes reserved for new stuff and things that probably won't be around later on.Marvel probably figures..X-men is one of their most popular books..you'll buy it anyway. "

i figured as much but it's a mini so it's not as though sales of it mean anything anyway. Omega Flight sold out and look where they are now... matter of fact, where are they??? I just hate when books i read regularly have crappy art and stuff i probably wouldn't ever pick up has amazing pictures. "

Anyway, I really liked Lockjaw & the Pet Avengers.  Marvel needs more titles like that.  It wouldn't hurt if Uncanny was more like that ;)

Right.  I was under the wrong impression that some of them had joined the old New Warriors/Initiative.  It's a shame that all those characters have gone into comics-limbo.

NW disbanded, but Night Thrasher 2 is still keeping the operations going, and is now helping renegade Initiative members
like Tigra, Justice, Ultragirl, Guantlet, and Rage (so technically that makes them the New Warriors current roster)
 
i actually like the idea that PA isnt intended to continue persay, it lends to the freedom they get with the book, and being allowed to have a story that has completion.

I don't know if anyone brought this up anywhere, but with the issue of PA  #4 looking like the classic Infinity Gauntlet cover with Thanos in his "come get some look" does anyone think maybe Thanos is using the PAs to gather the gems or involved somehow?

I don't think this is canon.

It's a kid-friendly book... so they wouldn't have something like that connected to Penance.  So it makes sense it's not canon.  However... it's just a fun comic.  It's not worth examining it that closely or getting bent out of shape over.
