INDESTRUCTIBLE HULK #3: Hulk VS. Quintronic Man and Hulk's first mission for S.H.I.E.L.D.

COVER ART: 4.5/5 I am still getting used to seeing HULK wearing armor. I understand it, I get it, I just think it looks silly; however, LEINIL YU does a fantastic job drawing a highly detailed fight pose between HULK and Quintronic Man. I love all the little details on both characters and great use of color.

STORY ART: 4/5 Do I LUUUUVVV LEINIL YU's art, well, I don't know. It isn't bad. It is a lot better than a lot of other art out there right now, but I don't think I will be putting him in my top 5 favorite artists any time soon. I have included some of my favorite images here from this issue for your own evaluation of the art.

STORY ARC: 3/5 This is a MARK WAID invention and I will give him some credit for making this an enjoyable issue. It isn't the most valuable piece of writing in the comicverse, but it is a fun first mission for the W.M.D. that is now a S.H.I.E.L.D. whore...I mean, agent, yeah, agent!

As S.H.I.E.L.D. learns of the terrorist group A.I.M.'s mission to reactivate the QUINTRONIC MAN, a five-maned robot similar to VOLTRON, that actually gives HULK a run for his money in this issue. Maria Hill also introduces us to a group of young scientist and experts who seem to have ulterior motivations and one with a sketchy past that are actually willing to work as lab assistants for Dr. Bruce Banner.

HERE ARE SOME THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE IN THIS ISSUE, WHICH ARE ACTUALLY VERY FEW.

In this scene, Maria Hill, a VERY high level agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. is interrogating a possible prospect to be a lab assistant to Dr. Bruce Banner. I may be nitpicky, but I do not like how there is an automatic machine weapon just sitting there next to the coffee maker and what looks like an assault rifle leaning up next to the wall...BARREL DOWN! As a former Marine, this is absolutely unacceptable as it relates to weapon control. She should

know better. Those weapons are totally unsecured and could be easily picked up and used against her. Just a silly art mistake.

This is only other thing I didn't really like about this issue. I don't like it when the HULK's face/head is drawn inconsistently. On the left his face looks scared and he has that silly hairdo with the shaved sides. On the right, he has a buzz cut with a receding hair line and it looks like it is old Grandpa HULK. Look at his eyes and his upper lip, that is the face of an old as man! I know the image to the left is supposed to be an image from the past but c'mon

HERE IS WHAT I REALLY LIKED ABOUT THIS ISSUE, AND WHAT I THINK YOU WOULD LIKE.

I love great splash pages and great use of angles. I love how HULK is called a WMD. The image to the right is our first look at our Quintronic Man. Very Impressive. Awesome detail and great use of the camera angle.

When the HULK seems like he outmatched, he just get himself angrier and SURPRISE, you're about to get a smashdown! That is "liquid hot magma" he is getting dunked in.

As always, HULK take take whatever is thrown at him, SUPER HOT, SUPER COLD, doesn't matter, he is INDESTRUCTIBLE! I love how the agent watching HULK crawl out of the "liquid hot magma" he can only say "WOW"! After that battle, Dr. Banner needs to recuperate for some reason in the hospital. I like what Maria Hill decided to wear to cheer him up, lift his spirits!

FINAL VERDICT: 4/5 Overall, there were only a few artistic mistakes that brought this issue from a 5 STAR to a 4 STAR. The actual dialogue and story was well done and this is one of my favorite issues so far of this series.

I think this is just so funny. HULK does not like big brother. I wonder how many R.O.B's we are going to be introduced to.

This series has been perfect so far, and although this issue drops that perfection it is still a brilliant issue, and the series has been what Hulk has needed for a few years. I always had high hopes for this series when I heard that Mark Waid would be writing, but I never expected it to turn out as good as it's been so far.PlotThis issue sees Bruce Banner helping S.H.I.E.L.D. stop A.I.M.'s attempt at securing the last member of the Quintronic Man crew, Professor Burke, whilst Maria Hill intervi...
