So I know it's important to have tie-ins to a major event but, come on. You would think that the Incredible Hulk would be as important as the World War Hulk main storyline. Both issues of Hulk since WWH has started have been completely pointless. This entire issue was a school girl fight between Rick Jones and Miek. Why is this necessary? Who cares who the Hulk's best friend is? I don't! I feel like this issue could have been full of the Hulk smashing action we all want to see, instead of hearing two grown men whine about why the Hulk should bend them over before the other! Here's an idea for next issue have Hulk smash both of them.

Wow... I do not remember the last time I was let down like this by a title. I'm not saying this is the worst comic I've read recently, but the biggest let down when I was expecting something good. While some people might not have been enjoying the storyline with Amadeus Cho and the various super heroes that he had assembled to help the Hulk... I was greatly enjoying it. It was interesting to see this genius teenager manipulate just about everyone to do exactly what he needed. Sure we had very little Hulk in his own book, but I think that was fully expected considering he's starring in the main cross over.
For those of you who felt the same as I did... well... I can't really recommend this month's issue. The first major problem with this issue is that the Amadeus Cho storyline is almost completely ignored. We get a glimpse of Hercules and the gang at the beginning of the issue, and then we don't hear from them again. Instead the issue basically compares Hulk's friendship with Rick Jones to his friendship with Miek. Although it's interesting at the beginning of the issue, it does get old fast. It really wasn't interesting enough to dedicate an entire issue to it. I never put spoilers in here, but that pretty much sums up the ENTIRE issue. Literally nothing happens here that you need to know for the World War Hulk storyline happens, in fact I don't even think you need to read this issue to continue following the Incredible Hulk series either.
If all this wasn't bad enough to break the momentum of the current story arc, there's one more thing. Seems Gary Frank is also gone. I don't know if Leonard Kirk is only a fill in artist for the moment, and I don't know if Frank is coming back or not, but it certainly hurts the story in my eyes when the artist is changed in the middle of story. Frank is by no means the greatest artist in the world, as some don't like his style.. but I greatly enjoyed his work, and find that loosing him know detracts from the enjoyment of an ongoing story.

(Spoilers abound)
I agree with Mondago a hundred percent. In a series about the "Incredible Hulk," don't you think it would be wise to actually have a story about HIM and not his two whiny friends? Rick Jones is by all means a classic Marvel character, but they portray him as a little girl. I do not understand this.
The in house fighting between Miek and Mung is ridiculously placed and drawn so pact together you're not really sure what's going on. I think Mung stabbed a hive guy, which there are few left in the universe, and Miek got his panties in a bunch and slapped Mung around. All the while Rick is sitting back watching saying "why can't we be friends?"
This comic series better get back on track with the next issuse. Mondago said it best in his review below mine: Have Hulk smash both Rick AND Miek... that'll sure make up for a whole lot.
