Hyperion is Marvel's homage to Superman, who exists in many different dimensions, most famously of Earth-712 and the Squadron Supreme. Edit
Earth-31916 Hyperion (Supreme Power)
Origin
Somewhere over Middle America, an elderly couple found a ship with an infant child inside. They decided to take it home with them, and look after it. Soon after, their farm house was surrounded by US government agents and helicopters. The infant and ship were taken into US custody.
After extensive tests it appeared that the baby was developing different abilities, such has impenetrable skin and strength, that only seemed to be getting stronger as the days went by. The government decided to raise the child on their own, making him the ultimate American, with hopes of turning him into a weapon. The government assigned two agents to the child to be his parents. They would be in charge or raising and educating the boy. The undertaking was called Project: Hyperion.
After testing the space ship, it was found to be releasing small amounts of an unknown retrovirus. It would later be linked to others developing special abilities.
As time went on, Mark Milton's powers developed at an alarming rate. He accidentally used his flash vision to reduce a small puppy to ashes in front of his parents' eyes. He could see into houses miles away. He knew he was different; and he slowly figured out he was being used by the US government. He broke ties with the government and asked to be left alone. The government panicked, and recruited a team to take down Hyperion.
After a brief battle, the group time-jumps and Hyperion sees the results of his actions: a world were he is the ruler. They then jump back to the present and Hyperion agrees to join the governments super army.
Powers
Hyperion possesses superhuman strength, stamina, speed and durability. His senses are also greatly enhanced, including allowing him to perceive the entire electro-magnetic spectrum. He also has atomic vision which is quite similar to heat vision. Hyperion's strength is very high being able to lift over 100 tons, his strength rivals that of Thor but does not match to that of true powerhouses such as Hulk or Hercules. His stamina is god-like which gives him the ability to fight for weeks and it makes him virtually tireless, he has superhuman agility that surpasses that of an olympic athlete. Hyperion's speed is amazing allowing him to run and fly more than 700 mph, his flight ability allows him to fly extremely fast that he can break the sound barrier. Hyperion's durability is on par with those of Hulk, Hercules, Juggernaut and Gladiator, a demonstration of his durability is when Sue Storm created a bubble to contain him and Johnny Storm asked her to make a small hole so that he can heat things up in the bubble, Johnny went supernova (the temperature of the sun) on Hyperion, as he was contained in the bubble it was a small space as supernova fire was burning him, when Sue Storm could no longer hold the bubble and Johnny stopped burning him, Hyperion came out unharmed he wasn't even scratched, only his clothes were burned. Hyperion is invulnerable to most physical attacks, he is immune to all diseases, he does not age rapidly, his muscles don't produce any fatigue poisons, he can withstand high temperatures up to the sun's temperature (it was seen when he fought the Human Torch) and he can also survive at below absolute zero. The Hyperion from the Squadron Supreme can lift and wield Mjolnir. His cells absorb heat energy from the sun that increase his power.

Earth-4023 King Hyperion (Exiles)
In this reality Hyperion (Zhib Rahn) is a villainous maniac who is the ruler of his original reality.
Early History
King Hyperion hails from a world that he became the ruler of. The countries of his world were not willing to let Hyperion take over without a fight so they began a nuclear war in an attempt to kill
Hyperion. Ironically, the nuclear attack killed every living being on Earth except for Hyperion. As the sole survivor of his planet, Hyperion was conscripted into Weapon X, taking the took the place of a deceased Storm. Right away Hyperion came into conflict with Weapon X's leader Gambit and became involved with Ms. Marvel. They were placed on an Earth where there were only ten mutants remained, and their assignment was to annihilate these remaining mutants. Hyperion originally intended to stay on the planet and become its new ruler, but he made the decision that the world was not going to survive and he completed the mission, murdering Colossus and Vision in the process. The Plot Thickens...
Eventually Hyperion came upon a world where he wished to remain and slaughtered all of the American heroes in New York City on that Earth. The Exiles teamed up with Weapon X's leader Gambit
and took their fight to Hyperion. In the ensuing battle Morph kills Ms. Marvel, Firestar kills Spider while Hyperion killed Hulk, Firestar, and Illyana Rasputin. After decimating the Exiles team in combat, Hyperion is finally injured by Blink, using her powers to cause Hyperion to injure himself with his heat vision. This crippled Hyperion, allowing Gambit the opportunity to use Magik’s Soulsword to destroy him. The ensuing explosion killed both Gambit and Hyperion and the Exiles made their way to another reality. However the bodies of the deceased members (including Hyperion) were teleported to the Crystal Palace where the Timebreakers had been placing the bodies of dead members of both Weapon X and the Exiles on display. Hyperion’s body was also put on display and his cells began storing solar energy allowing him to recover from his wounds. Eventually recovered of his injuries, Hyperion broke out of the crystal stasis he was being held in and took hold of the Timebreakers' operations.King Hyperion Defeated
Taking over the Timebroker interface Hyperion had the Exiles travel to a world ruled by Zarathos. Then he sent them to Earth-2600 where Hyperion had Sabretooth join the team (replacing Heather Hudson) in an effort to make Blink second-guess herself. He then had the team go to the Age of Apocalypse where he had Holocaust join the team (replacing Beak) in an attempt to have them killed. Instead Holocaust worked with the Exiles to teleport directly to the Panoptichron where Hyperion immediately killed Holocaust by absorbing all of his essence. Hyperion managed to seriously injure Morph and Mimic and kill Namora.
The Timebreakers released Beak from stasis concluding that he was the most likely to resolve the situation. Finding no alternative, Beak recruited two other-dimensional Hyperions from Earth-712 and Earth-5764. These two Hyperions managed to take King Hyperion down with a final moment assist by Mimic. The Exiles, the Hyperions, and the Timebreakers made the decision, since they could not kill King Hyperion, to imprison him back on his original reality where he could do no further damage.
Powers
King Hyperion possesses immense superhuman strength allowing him to lift objects weighing more than 100 tons. He can achieve flight and is superhumanly fast, able to travel at near light speeds. He is amazingly durable and is able to withstand many attacks. King Hyperion is also able to heal from virtually any wound. He can also emit rays of heat from his eyes. Every single cell in his body absorbs energy from the sun. Even if his body has been dismembered Hyperion's cells will still continue absorb and store solar energy.
King Hyperion seems to be significantly stronger than other Hyperion counterparts, with no apparent weaknesses.
Earth-712 Hyperion (Squadron Supreme)
Origin
The Hyperion of this reality is the last Eternal left on his Earth, and hides under the identity of Mark Milton, a cartoonist. His adoptive parents raise him very well, instilling in him certain values that lead to his career as a hero and proactive approach towards human affairs.
The Squadron is Born
Hyperion later meets several other metahumans and join forces to form the Squadron Supreme, with Hyperion becoming the leader of the Squadron. Hyperion and the other members of his team are first encountered by four of the Avengers, who had accidentally crossed into the Earth-712 universe. The Avengers first battle and then continue to assist the Squadron Supreme against the planet-wide threat posed by the Brain-Child, before they return to their own universe. Hyperion and the Squadron Supreme later battle the Avengers once again, who help to free the Earth-712 from the influence of the artifact the Serpent Crown.
Soon after the Serpent Crown affair Hyperion has his first important encounter with the villainous Earth-616 Hyperion, who crosses into the Earth-712 universe with the aid of a Thor. After ridding the world of the manipulations of the Overmind, Hyperion goes on to play a large role in the Squadron Supreme's plan to take over their Earth and transform it into a utopia. After several crises leading to a deadly battle with several dissenting team members, Hyperion realizes the error in his ways.
He and the other surviving members of the Squadron Supreme later travel into space to protect their Earth from the Nth Man, at the cost of being exiled to the Earth-616 universe. Later the Squadron Supreme assists The Avengers against the villain Imus Champion and then find a means to return to their universe. The team is disbanded on returning home, and are later reunited by Hyperion when he learns of a new government assuming power after the Squadron's exile.
Sometime later Hyperion and another blind Hyperion from Earth-5764 were brought in by Barnell Bohusk a.k.a. Beak of Earth-616 to help the dimension-hopping Exiles defeat yet another albeit a mentally deranged version of himself from Earth-4023. After defeating their evil twin Hyperion and his Earth-5764 counterpart considered wresting control of The Panoptichron from The Exiles and The Timebreakers as neither party were considered trustworthy by any stretch of the imagination to either version of Hyperion. Beak, whom they trusted, was able to convince them that The Exiles were responsible enough to handle The Panoptichron without them and so Hyperion and his counterpart returned to their respective Universes.
A few weeks later Hyperion would once again encounter The Exiles as they chased the body-snatching, reality manipulating Mutant called Proteus (who was in the form of Hulk 2099) across The Multiverse. Proteus convinced Hyperion and The Squadron Supreme that The Exiles had ditched Beak, went insane and were hunting Proteus down because he had tried to stop them from conquering The Multiverse. Hyperion and The Squadron Supreme defeated The Exiles while Proteus hopped Universes and had them placed on trial. Eventually Heather Hudson, in the guise of The Timebroker, would convince Hyperion of their innocence and in return for their freedom Hyperion and The Squadron were given the means to expose the tyrannical government now ruling over their Earth for what they truly were and how they had rigged the Election Process which had put them in control of Earth in the first place.
After that day Hyperion and the rest of The Squadron went about repairing the damage caused by The Utopia Program and Nth Man incidents. The last time anyone saw Hyperion was after The Scarlet Witch of Earth-1610 (The Ultimate Universe) had accidentally brought Hyperion and The Squadron Supreme of Earth-712 from some point in their past to Earth-31916 (The Supremeverse circa 2007) where he briefly fought Earth-1610's Wolverine, his own Earth-31916 counterpart and then eventually would lead his Squadron Supreme alongside Earth-31916's Squadron Supreme and The Earth-1610 Heroes into battle against The Hulk of Earth-1610. After the fight ended The Scarlet Witch (with the aid of his world's Arcanna and Earth-31916's Arcanna) returned Hyperion and The Squadron Supreme back to the proper moment in time on Earth-712 that they were pulled from. His current whereabouts are unknown.
Powers
Hyperion's powers include immeasurable physical strength, supersonic flight, amazing durability and highly enhanced senses. Hyperion can also shoot powerful atomic beams from his eyes. This version of Hyperion is weakened when he is near argonite.
Earth-616 Hyperion (Squadron Sinister)
The first Hyperion makes his appearance as a member of Squadron Sinister, a group of supervillains assembled by the Grandmaster to battle the team of heroes known as the Avengers.
Years later, the Squadron Sinister is reunited when Hyperion encounters Nebulon, and in exchange for his freedom promises him the Earth. The Squadron Sinister then manufactures a giant laser cannon in the Arctic and plans to use it to melt the polar ice caps, covering the entirety of the Earth's surface with water. They, however, are foiled by the superhero team known as the Defenders. After this defeat the Squadron Sinister are teleported off the world by Nebulon, but later are returned to Earth. After acquiring an energy-draining weapon, the Squadron Sinister plan to threaten the Earth once again but are defeated once more by the Defenders and the Avenger Hank Pym.
Hyperion later has another encounter with several members of the Avengers, who at the time are seeking out a way to separate Dr. Spectrum's Power Prism from the Wasp. At this time it was revealed that Hyperion was involved with the warrior woman Thundra. Soon after Hyperion battles Thor once again and encounters the Earth-712 version of Hyperion from the Squadron Supreme when he becomes imprisoned in the Earth-712 universe. After being freed by the villain Master Menace he discovers he is actually an inorganic clone created by the Grandmaster modeled on the Hyperion from Earth-712. A bitter and angry Hyperion then impersonates the Squadron Supreme Hyperion for multiple weeks before eventually dying at the hands of the original Hyperion.
Earth-1121 Hyperion (Heralds)
The Hyperion of Earth-1121 is an elderly man that comes from a world where all life was eradicated. He was the last living person, and the only thing he wants is to die, but he can't since he is immortal.
This Hyperion is recruited by the robot X-51 of Earth-9997 (Earth X)for his squad of interdimensional heralds (Paradise X: Heralds #1). This Hyperion kills the villain Kulan Gath.
Earth-5764 Hyperion
This Hyperion is seen for a few issues in Exiles when he and Earth-712 Hyperion are brought in by Beak to help the Exiles defeat the evil Hyperion of Earth-4023.
