    Justice Takes Its Course

The Huntress continues her mission in Italy to bring down crime boss Moretti who is actively involved in trafficking women. This is the fourth of six planned issues that are written by Paul Levitz and drawn by Marcus To. I wasn't crazy about the pacing this issue. It was a little slow until the end. There was some scouting with Huntress and her reporter friends that was a little boring.

Once Huntress puts her plan into motion and boards the boat Moretti is on, things definitely heat up. I enjoyed the action/spy vibe while Huntress infiltrated the boat and took out Moretti's guards one by one until only Moretti remained. Her deliverance of "justice" concerning Moretti was pretty fitting considering the circumstances that have occurred previously. I've noticed people say this issue feels like the final issue of the series rather than the fourth since Moretti was captured. I can see their point of view but I think Huntress plans on tracking down the other man associated with Moretti. I guess we'll find out next month for sure. If that doesn't happen then I have no clue where Paul Levitz plans on taking this series with only two issues left.

Marcus To continues to produce quality artwork for this mini-series. I've been enjoying how he's incorporated Italian scenery in his panels. The detail is greatly appreciated and nicely done. He also draws out action scenes pretty well also. When you read this comic, you get the action/spy feel as you  see Huntress infiltrate and then take down her adversaries. I've also been taking notice to colorist Andrew Dalhouse's work. His soft colors have been a bright spot for this series. Guillem March contributes a nice cover that about sums up what this series has been about so far.

This issue wasn't as good as the previous issues but if you've been following this series, you might as well finish it out since there's only two more. I'm not going to say this is the most standout comic starring Huntress, but it's still been a fairly fun ride worth checking out.

      Never do it again 0

This is a bizarre entry for a miniseries.  Stories like this one are fairly common in most comic book series, but the point of a miniseries is to sort give a full immersion in the awesomeness of a character, and an issue such as this which feels more like a bridging one between two story arcs, doesn't really hit where it should.  One of the problems here is the recurring focus on all things Italian (though again there are a couple of sly references to Helena's Earth 2 history.)  This focus tends...

The miniseries that acts like an ongoing 0

To preface this review, I'd like to say that Huntress is one of my favorite DC characters, she's always delievered a massive amount of badassery and while it certainly shows up here in the series, there are many other issues with the Huntress book out right now.First off, I'm not entirely sure why Huntress needs to be self-contained and to have a more realistic grounding. While this may work for Batman Begins, on Huntress it feels a little forced. There is almost no connection to the rest of the...
