An outstanding issue. Helena continues her “hunt” for Moretti only to find him paying hospitality with the Chairman of Kufra’s son. There is so much action in this book that it’s a thrill ride from the first to the last page. The only thing that kind of makes me take a sideways glance was the depiction of the chairman of Kufra as a stereotypical evil Islamic dictator. Perhaps it was coincidental or perhaps not, but it seemed like it was worth noting as something that could possibly be offensive to some readers. So far the Huntress mini-series has been very good and this issue is no exception, and if you’re not reading this series you’re doing yourself and comic fans alike a disservice.

Although there is nothing inherently great about this issue, it is a highly stylized effort from the creative team which ends up being greater than the sum of its parts.  Helena is still on the trail of the human traffickers and must intercept a meeting at Pompeii among the ancient ruins.  There is a kind of funny mini standoff to get to this point but once she gets there she gets into a much bigger scuffle.  So much works so well here, between the dialogue and the pacing that even the little bi...
