Teddy is a half-Kree, half-Skrull alien raised as a human. He took the name Hulkling when he joined the Young Avengers and commands the newly formed Kree/Skrull Alliance.
Don't really understand why this woman wanna-be is called Hulkling, when he is in no way shape or form anything like the Hulk, he is half Kree and half Skrull, and is not powered by gamma rays at all.
@sladewilson30: Because if you read the comics, you would know that the original four members of the YA were trying to get the attention of the actually Avengers so that they could reban together and fight Kang. Hence their names: Iron Lad, Patriot, Hulkling, and Asgaurdian. They were basing themselves after Iron man, Captain America, Hulk, and Thor. Since Teddy was the only one who can turn green, it's kinda obvious why he would chose the name.
