From what I understand Marvel needs to have a character named Captain Marvel every few years in order to keep the name from reverting to DC and then they wouldn't be able to use it anymore. That's why we've had Mar-Vell, Monica Rambeau, Genis Vell and even Phyla. Since none of them have been Captain Marvel for a while it's logical to assume that Teddy will be the next one. Could you see him giving up the shapeshifting Hulk look for something more like his father any time soon?
