I would like to see the explanation for the hulks current power levels to be The Power Gem. Hear me out. Doctor Strange cloaks the power gem so that it doesn't resonate any energy (it appears, even to people with cosmic senses as a normal stone). He releases the power gem into a worm hole so that it will just be deposited on a planet or in the universe floating around, a small stone lost in the vastness of space. The Stone randomly arrives on The WWhulk planet years before the Hulk does. THe stone is part of the prophecy! The prophecy says that this red stone will arrive followed soon (relatively) by the world breaker. The stone is to be given to the world breaker and they shall become one and save the world. The power gem, being somewhat sentinent, senses in the hulk his potential for limitless power. The Gem realizes that the Hulks potential is greater than any ther beings potential it have ever come in contact with and decides that it would be best for its survival/function to become one with the hulk. The Gem merges with the hulk so that they are as one being. Imagine a character with Reality Warper level power, but with the limitation that it is only in strength, invulnerability, and healing. The Hulk could be techniqually as powerful as an Elder of the universe, or Galactus, he just cant' fire force blasts, rearrange matter, fly etc. HE could be the first cosmically powered, galaxy level threat that doesn't rearrange matter and shoot beams. He could be totally unkillable, literally unlimited strength. He cannot beat beings like Galactus, but he gets their respect because they cannot hurt or kill him either and they don't want to get into a battle with him due to his power.
