After being bombarded with a massive dose of gamma radiation while saving a young man's life during an experimental bomb testing, Dr. Robert Bruce Banner was transformed into the Incredible Hulk: a green behemoth who is the living personification of rage and pure physical strength.
Definitely one of Marvel's best books. I love the way they're using Banner here, instead of the whole "man on the run" thing they've been doing since forever.
Also anyone found it odd when Banner was laughing?
I am really enjoying the story. I love that he was laughing because he has basically never been happy. That is why Tony was so shocked to see how different he was acting. It is nice to see things going well for him a little bit. It is kind of like what Waid has done on his other book, Daredevil. He is taking a character that has been beaten down for so long and finally making some good things happen for them. I loved reading Bendis and Brubakers DD but it just got so depressing after a while when even his victories are depressing. Same with Hulk after how bad things got for him after Planet Hulk and WWH and then trying to split himself into two people again.
I like it wouldn't call it the best story. I hate how they have the Hulk seem almost mindless. He should talk alil just curious in the new Avengers book is he talking?
