Bad.....nuff said.
Seriously, why does Hulk look like he was copy and pasted from 1962.
Character » Hulk appears in 7765 issues.
Not a fan. Yeah it's a very good rendition of the Kirby look, BUT that's not the hulk we're used to. It immediately gives the impression of a mindless brute, which back in the Kirby days was true, but the Hulk has been portrayed as so much more than that in recent years. While not possessing genius level intelligence, the modern Hulk does posses average intelligence, which modern depictions have tried to stylise. Just have a look at Indestructible Hulk #1 and you'll see what I mean, here he looks like so much more than a mindless brute. It's a shame as apart from this I really enjoyed opena's art.
I've only skimmed the issue so far, but I believe that Hulk looks like his older design (as does Cap and Iron Man, etc) because that sequence is flashback? Am I totally off on this?
Regardless, Opena's art is lush and beautiful, I'd buy Smurfs if he drew it.
I hope they atleast try and stay consistent with Hulks look especially with the Indestructable Hulk being a series? It will be silly at best if there are different versions of the same Hulk in the same timeline of the same hero Universe :)

Hulk has looked very different under different artists since forever. Hes been bald for the past year or so in his own book. At any rate the Hulk in Avengers 1 is in fact the Savage Hulk/"mindless brute" persona and, under decent artists at least (i.e. not JR Jr), that incarnation has often looked different to the intelligent Gravage persona of Planet Hulk etc.
Has anyone got a scan of him without spoilers? I haven't been able to pick the issue up yet and I'm curious.

Hulk was not mindless at all in Hulk 1-6. He was more like the Grey Hulk early on personality wise.

Cool, it looks cool. 4 Kirby Characters/designs on that team. Looks more monstrous than anything.
I hated Hulk's look in Avengers #1. Indestructible Hulk is probably my favorite Marvel NOW! series so far, and I thought the character design in there was excellent. So going back to this "classic" design was pretty annoying for me to see. However, the panel where Hulk hit Thor was pretty good.
On a semi-related note though, Jerome Opena's Cap design is my favorite of all time. He just looks so good. On that page where he's putting his uniform on, and the last page where he has his shield raised in front of a bunch of Avengers...oh my god! So awesome. Much better than John Cassady's design in Uncanny Avengers, and even better still than John Romita Jr's in Captain America #1.
The only hero-on-hero fight I ever thought was interesting was Ultimates vol 2 ish 5 where the team attacks Thor believing him a traitor.
I'm so confused with this book. I mean, what is this? Hulk isn't an Avenger, yet he's on the team. Red Hulk who's an official member of the Avengers seems like he got booted out for Big Green? Even though Big Green would rather drive adamantium stakes through his eyes and throw himself into Galactus' stomach before even daring to look at the Avengers Tower.
Either Scarlet Witch decided to f*ck up the Marvel Time line (again), or else I'm missing something big here.

Derpface. I loved it anyway. Better than that stupid buzzcut they give the Hulk in MvC.
