hulk 2003 movie
I just watched this movie today for the first time again since it's release in 2003. I really don't get why people don't like it. I agree it has a strange feel to it, and the hulk's face didn't look that good and the ending was lame, but the story was quite good and the Hulk was hulkier than the 2008 in terms of raw power and rage.
I liked it........I liked the pacing of the 2008 movie better but overall they had equal amount of fight scenes.....and I agree the first Hulk was definitely more badass in terms of power and rage.

and no.
I honestly thought he was Absorbing Man when I first saw the movie.

He was kind of a mixture of Absorbing Man and Zzzax or whatever his name is. Both villains were in early drafts of the "script".
God, that movie sucked so hard. Except for Jennifer Connely, had she been Betty in The Incredible Hulk, that would probably be my favourite Marvel film.

me too.
Yeah, he was the Absorbing Man even though it was not actually stated. This movie started slow and was somewhat anti-climactic, but the 2003 Hulk was bigger, stronger and badder than the 2008 version. Also, I preferred the '03 shade of green to the dirty olive drab shade of the '08. That said, the 2008 movie was better overall buy the '03 movie wasn't as bad as some people say. For some I think they read/heard that it didn't do as well at the box office as expected and then decided they didn't like it. I'd reccommend trying not to be influenced by that. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either.
I've always wondered why people think 2003 was so terrible. I don't see it. So technically what if you took out all the scenes with Nick Nolte and added a A-List villain, would people like the film better?
I actually prefer the 2003 film. I think whats his face from 2003 film was a way better Bruce Banner then Norton. Ironically I have always loved all of Norton's films, I didn't like his Banner. It was actually kind of gay to me, although he did do the running scenes very well. I did like that the 2008 film included more characters from the comics. My biggest problem, outside of Liv Tyler's ditsy performance, was the fact that the Hulk wasn't the growing Hulk. You know, the one that grows as he gets angrier.
