INCREDIBLE HULK continues to smash it's way to a comic shop near you. Jason Aaron and Marc Silvestri are taking Hulk in an interesting new direction. It's always nice to see something a little different once in a while. Marvel is promising some big changes so we'll have to stay tuned to see what they're about to cook up.

The first issue had everything I wanted: a nice twist, great art and even a beard on Hulk. All that was missing was a horse.

@The Dark Huntress: I completely agree with everything you said XD the art is fantastic and its good to see hulk drawn in such a different manner but yea not a big hulk fan and to many other things.

I'm not sure if the word "forever" and comics ever really go together, but I'm still digging this art. Marc has improved so much over the years.

Wasn't a big Hulk fan either... until PLANET HULK blew my mind away.

Marc Silvestri kicks so much @$$. Although the beard is a bit weird to see on the Hulk and I don't know the way it is depicted. Maybe it is just because I am so accustomed to Hulk without facial hair. A different take and not a bad one as far as visuals are concerned.

Is it me or does Marc Silvestri’s work look almost identical to Whilce Portacio's? I've had the hardest time telling them apart... Plus they are both just basically Jim Lee clones!

I wouldn't call Silvestri a Lee clone. Lee was drawing was Uncanny X-Men waaaaay back when while Lee was still drawing Punisher War Journal. Portacio came a few years later, I first remember him on X-Factor and his work was great. His style is differant now. I liked it better back then. He did a lot of little changes. He took the hood off of Cyclops mask. He added rings to Ice Man's wrists (where did those go) and he gave a lot of layers to Archangel's wings. Lee is the best of the three, but I would not call them clones.

Same here. lol I wonder why he would need Von Doom's help though since without her cyber suit or back up all that's left is intel I guess.

Makes me want to pick it up... even though I've never been all that ineterested in Hulk books (Not after #600).

Couldn't agree with you more. for those who aren't hulk fans yet I don't blame you just too many good comics out there to read them all (I just can't start reading x-men comics, I want to but there are just sooo many different X-men titles, just can't get started) but, you're not fans cause you haven't read the right Hulk comic yet. Its here where the hulk dynamic changes & they really add depth to his character. This & World War Hulk, two of my fav comics.

Haven't cared about Hulk since WWH ended. And the Hulk family iddish Marvel's been doing really, really made me walk away with no desire to turn back. Really like Aaron as a writer and Silvestri's art really is tempting. But then I saw the 3.99 price tag, nah yo! Much like you I have a very healthy pull list and have no desire to float another $4 book.

@JonesDeini: Agreed, only I've never had any interest in the Hulk at all. So this was going to have to be an excellent book to get me to pull it. And it just doesn't really strike me as one so far, despite it being in it's beginning stages. In order to pick this up, I'd have to cut something I'm pulling already, which I have no inclination to do.

I've liked the Hulk books becuase he wasn' tin stuff like Civil War. It's been Marvel's better book for a while. I don't know about this Incredible Hulk, but Hulk has had a better track record the last five years.

this shit looks whack...not gonna lie. ive never known why hulks comics are so good? only a cartoon would be good. he has no interesting dialouge and comics are about reading. someone plese explain why his comics are good cause i cant comprehend why!?! X(

X-Men is really easy at the moment. Just like the Hulk X-men has been given a new jump on point. Either Uncanny X-Men #1 or Wolverine and the X-Men #1 is a good place to start.

I WAS THE EXACT SAME WAY! I've read the first issue of this new series (or relauch, or whatever they're calling it) and everything looks good to me so far, both the art and the story.

Bearded Hulk is badass!

I do love Silvestri's take on hulk so far. The beards gotta stay, it only makes sense.

Much more interested in Jason Aaron's story direction though. Should be interesting to see where he takes this.
