It's canon but it depends on the writer. The vast majority do not use this, the last time i remember Hulk increasing his size with rage was when he fought Deadpool.

He grew in size because Fin Fang Foom shot gamma missiles at him and Red She Hulk so they both grew in size because of it.

@yify: i wasn't talking about when he grew 80ft tall via gamma ray blasted by fing fan foom, am talking about when he was newly world breaker hulk, he grew bigger that time. is growing bigger has limit.

you'll never know how gamma would affect the hulk in a certain situation. it is up to writer, i guess. though increase in size seems pretty logical when not worldbreaker....cause .... if hulk turns into worldbreaker, he doesnt need to contain energy..instead , he must release it! so when gamma levels go up....hulk either contains it and get bigger or release it and go all glowing green

@medulaoblaganda: No, he was far larger that one hundred feet. Hulk and the others towered over the landscape. You can see the mountain range close by when they're fighting. Plus, when compared to the life-size holographic projections of Amadeus & Tyrannus that looked like gnats/specks in compariosn (not to mention the wishing machine that's so tiny that Hulk grabbed up in his massive), Hulk and the others are probably skyscraper (possibly even Celestial) sized.

Loved the first Hulk film when he increased in size when he got angry, but that wasn't canon.
