High Pockets
If you are a collector, and love the Avengers and Hulk unconditionally, then this mini-series is certainly for you. I enjoyed it for the most part, but felt that it was more a really well timed release, rather than a really great story. The art was good and fit the time period they were going for - the story is the same old tale that has been told time and again - and this time it has been injected into the Avengers continuity, somewhere between Avengers Volume 1: Issue #7 and #14.
I did really love the cover of this issue - very nostalgic and visually appealing. The dialog had a lot going for it as well, as if it was cut from 50 year old pages and pasted here in this current issue... I will continue collecting the remaining issues of this mini-series, mostly because it does highlight different Hulk and Avenger relationship stories throughout time... which is nice to draw on every once in a while.
