    Howdy Doody was originally voiced by Buffalo Bob Smith. Howdy Doody had his own childrens' television show which ran on NBC for 13 seasons from 1947 to 1960. At the start of each show, Buffalo Bob would ask the children in the audience what time it was and they would shout back, "It's Howdy Doody time".
