Howard The Duck Movie Reboot

Every Marvel reading fan knows of the underdog obscurity that is Howard. Many have seen the film and believe it to be a cheesy load of crap. Being aware of it's flaws i've always taken an enourmous interest in the comic and movie regardless. Isn't it time someone had another shot - perhaps kevin smith to direct?

I was shocked to learn he first appeared with Man-Thing

Thank you,

Just think of the potential now though! with the mouth motion and suit combination. plus sarcastic cynical  humour has become a common stand point in comedy today!.

@King Saturn: Interesting in the same way as putting your hand down a garbage disposal? Or was it more like filating a curling iron?

I dunno about a live-action reboot, but an animated reboot COULD work. Or he should at least be in an animated fan film or something.

Never saw or read it. The most experience I've had with Howard is when he ate the Evil Dead guy in one of the Marvel Zombies books. (chuckles) Very funny.

I don't get Kevin Smith. I enjoy some of his movies, but none of them are great, and every time I see him talk in an interview or on a show, he just bugs me. I think he strikes me as somebody with a really big ego, and I just kind of want to see him roll down a flight of stairs.

Sorry, I don't mean that. I'm tired and had a bad day, but...he rubs me the wrong way, and I don't much care for his writing.

Well, Marvel is now owned by Disney, maybe they could have Pixar take a crack at Howie (they do make great movies after all), and heck, while we're at it let's reboot Man-Thing as well... :D

It's because Marvel is now owned by Disney that we will probably not see a revamp of Howard the Duck. Steve Gerber was sued by Disney, because they said Howard was too much like Donald. What seemed to make that go away, of all things, is having Howard wear pants. With Disney owning Marvel now, you'll probably only see Howard as background fodder in large group scenes, if at all.

@Deadgod: I would love an animated Man-Thing film :)
