But when Fig discovers a strange mask in the attic, she begins having visions of everywhere the mask has been, and she quickly becomes the life and death of the party.     The first Vertigo Annual in a long time.  I think the Children's Crusade was the last time there was annuals. Now that was a long and forgotten time.  But New Vertigo seems to be going back to its older roots.  Re-imaging older DCU series for a mature audience, such titles:  The Unknown Soldier, The Losers, Madame Xanadu and now The House of Mystery is back in its glory.  Pros:  This book can be read independently.  The framing story works so that non-House of Mystery fans can follow the story. ...
