    I don't think we need another Jean. We still have Madeylne and Cable and Rachel so no more Jeans. But at the same time she could have powers of Jean or similarities but she can't be Jean exactly

    IMO I think she looks like Jean cause of that Phoenix in her eyes that one time. The Phoenix is Jean and Jean is the Phoenix right? Maybe that fragment in Hope messed with her genes and she's growing up looking like Jean, does that sound dumb? Anyway that's just my opinion. Please correct me if some of my info is wrong.  
     
    Also I think she'll be the key to us getting Jean back  :P.

    If it is Jean.  I hope Carey takes a hold of her and not Fraction.  Maybe Hope can be the reoccuring thought of what if Jean were still alive.  It could just bring emotinal story-lines into play with any X-Man connected to Grey.  I just hope if it is Jean they don't throw her at Cyclops, damaging his relationship with Emma Frost.

    I have feeling that Hope is Jean and they're just dragging it on and on. Seeing as how its very likely, considering a Phoenix always rises from its ashes.

    Which is an obvious connection to Hope. 
      
    Also, to the whole Rachel thing, even if it was the Rachel Grey of 616, she wouldn't be the same as the one currently in the 616 universe (who is from the 811 universe).  During House of M (Uncanny X-Men) it was stated there is no other true alternate counterpart to Rachel from 811.

    that was cable theory on what her mutant power might be when hope found a spaceship in the middle of nowhere. 
    it would be pretty lame that the mutant messiah power is just find something useful, and let alone that bishop is hellbent on killing her.

    It's obvious, she's the reincarnated Jean, but that doesn't exactly make her Jean that's her past life. If u were a killer in yer past life does that make u a killer too or just who you "were"?

    One thing that kinda bothers me: In the new Astonishing title, in discussing the "powered" births in Kenya, Beast declares that a defining characteristic of a mutant is the emergence of their powers at puberty.......yet nobody has questioned Hope's mutancy referring to her instant power display at birth. What gives?

    Nope. To be Rachel, she'd have to be Jean and Scott's spawn....Jean's dead and Scott's shaboinking Blondie McSkanky Pants, so unless Sinister was pulling a big Mind-fudge and made another clone but pretended he had no knowledge of her origin, she's got some other parentals that are keeping a very low profile. 
     
    Who could they be? Are their any red-headed, fertile-myrtles we haven't seen in a while?
