she was raised by Cable, his son. Scott's sort of her grandfather. There's enough reason to share looks without her turning out to be his dead wife.

I guess Hope will be the new Dark Phoenix (writers seem to still want to get glory off of that classic storyline). X-Fans don't seem to care or seem emotionally attach to Hope. Every time Jean goes away they bring in another red headed Phoenix wielder so writers must need Jean's essence there somewhere. She even has a school now.

think hope is the mainstream Rachel..... i mean X-man(Nate) is AOA cable but there was never a mainstream Rachel & i recall during house of M when rachel & pyslocke were in the white hot room rachel said "yes they are all me... but they are different then me" (not exact words but close lol)+

Hope looks like Jean, but as far as I can tell, she not like jean, a unintersting character who is comes back from the grave every few years and is only intersting when she becomes a slave to Phoenix or is hypocritical to her bf/husband, but these are reasons why I like Hope.

- Considering the endless Phoenix-Jean related teases over the years, adding in all the Jean-like characters (Maddie, Rachel, etc), I have officially given up even bothering to guess how Marvel is going to explain Hope, her connection to Phoenix, any of it.

- There have been a lot of theories in the other related threads, many of them quite imaginative and could fit, but with the limited circumstancial info given at this point, anything is still possible.

- Also this is Marvel, and the resolution could ignore everything we have been told so far as misdirection, I'm just going to shrug my shoulders, wait and see

Asside from the red hair and green eyes I do not think Jean and Hope are connected assided from some sort of connection to the Phoenix force. I happen to like Hope as a character and I certainly do not want her to be killed off. I do think Generation Hope has stagnated some. I would like to see more character development for Transonic, Velocidad and Oya, though I think Oya will get some in Wolverine and the X-Men (the name of thet title still makes me feel like I have a rash, its irritating and dosent go away no matter how many times I scratch it).
