This post relates to: John McCain, Barack Obama, Homer Simpson
First we had Savage Dragon and now Homer Simpson. It's good to see how the Democrats showing us how fascist the Republicans are by having our favorite characters telling us who we should, nay, MUST vote for in 2008 for a greater future. :-P
Seriously, this commercial may support Obama, I can see it having double vaule. Republicans DO rig every handicap machine to have a vote for them instead of Democrats and have those find out be brutal murder anyone who finds out the turth; just like in Ohio when the noble man, Kerry was running againist the evil snake that is Bush.. :-P
Family Guy is worse. They have become a 30-minute Liberal Public Serive Message. They always attack Bush on level or another so much, that's there not even try to be funny and just bluntly state it, they even targeted Bush's own mother and wife; real foul play. Worst yet, they never made a crack about Al Gore or even John Kerry when they were in the spotlight. At least now, at election time, we get to see other people being the butts of the jokes in other shows now rather than the same guy for the least 8 years; but not Family Guy; they still love whacking the Bush.
It's bad enough to have every "Tom Cruise" and "Rosie O'Donnell" telling us their opinions on the world and American today, so do we really need our favorite fictional and cartoon charatcers doing the same for most political parties? No wait, so far it has been just the Democrates, the Reds got no one decent. Just Guy Gardner. Heck, the only Marvel character who would vote for McCain would be Tony Stark, and that will be for just to make Tony look like a bigger ass that he already is the Marvel Universe. We all know that all coperaterations in America are baby killing, wife raping, cigerate smoking spawns of Satan. :-P
To take ms. Inivisble's (sorry to drag you into this) blog about our favorite heroes and the messages in TV and comics today, they're basically saying: "It sucks to be an American." It's hard to say if everyone really feels like that or the writers are being over dramatic. Even with our problems, hundreds of people from other countires come over here, in spite of what hardships might await them here. This must mean something to be proud of. I know America hasn't live up to it's title of Land of the Free in the past, with salvery and presuction, but I;m the kind of American that is constantly proud of the land; but at the same time, I not going to say the Country is perfect or even denien all the mistakes and flaws of it. We made them, we learned from them, and we become better after that. So let's just complaining and get to work to fix the nation. Okay?
