Origin

Hiroim was born into an ancient sect of Shadow Priests, and from childhood was raised to become one of them. Hearing the ancient stories of his world's fabled savior, Hiroim began to hope and believe that one day he would grow up to become the Sakaarson, the healer and savior of the planet Sakaar. He pledged himself to a life of purity and goodness, not to lie to cheat or to steal. When Hiroim became of age to become fully inducted into his rite, he went through the motions and abuse silently and solemnly. When his elders looked into his eyes they new instantly of his hubris and he was expelled from the Priesthood and given the name Hiroim the shamed.

Hiroim was given the option of becoming a gladiator to fight to clear his name and shame. As a gladiator Hiroim met the Hulk and became a member of the Warbound. After escaping the Red King's control, the Warbound left for the wilderness. When the Warbound brought down the Red King's empire, Hiroim was still not fully accepted by his brothers in the Priesthood. Regardless, Hiroim had faith in Hulks ability to lead and was confident that Hulk was actually the Sakaarson, the savior who would heal Sakaar.

After the destruction of Sakaar, Hiroim decided to simply let the molten rock of the planet's core destroy him until Korg saved him by telling Hiroim that if he did not take his hand he would die too by waiting for the lava to consume him. Not wanting to see his friend and brother take his life Hiroim allowed Korg to pull him up and save him. All that was left of Sakaar, the Warbound forged new weapons and set out for Earth to make the Illuminati face justice for the ship that caused the destruction of Sakaar.
