    Actions speaks louder than words!

When I stumbled upon this Volume in my local comic book store, I was somehow felt its presence, look to my right and there it is, Hinges. I bought it immediately without even taking a peak and boy oh boy this book is stunning! It's about a young girl who woke up into this unknown city with no memories, all she have was a pocket watch and a creature named, Bauble. The book don't have very much dialogue, more focus into the environment and more of a silent movie. The book took a unique turn whereas other comic book series gotta have dialogue in every pages; this is a good thing. Instead of the main character talking we watch her actions more carefully through this unknown world. Without the dialogue I found myself memorized by the art and how creatures comes to life with a steam-punk feel. I even feel like I connected with the main character who is unfamiliar, confused, struggling, and constantly trying to fit everything together coherently in the world of Hinges; that's like every comic book series I try to get into!

Meredith McClaren is amazing in this book!

This is a great addition to one's comic book collection who wants to take a break with superheroes screaming at each other and just relax in the wonderful world of Hinges.
