High Orbit Precision Entry Trooper

Overview:  
The H.O.P.E Troopers were a special infiltration and extraction unit made up of Republic Commandos. The commandos could be inserted into a hot zone via specialized escape pods from a Republic ship. The H.O.P.E. Troopers would drop in and open the pods in low atmosphere where they would parachute to the intended target area. These commandos recieved their orders directly from the Jedi Council. 

Major Actvities:  
The only know major operation was the rescue of Jedi Master Treetower on Yorn Skot who had been captured by the Trade Federation during an investigation into an illegal smuggling operation. The team was succesful in extracting the jedi, but all but the squad leader will killed during the mission. 

Equipment: 
H.O.P.E. Troopers worn and wielded the same weapons as their Republic Commando brothers, the Kataran class Commando armor and the DC-17 Interchangeable weapons system. The main differnce was the way H.O.P.E. Troopers entered a battlefield with escape pods. The H.O.P.E. Troopers would drop in and open the pods in low atmosphere.
