Hidan is first seen capturing the two-tails Jinchuriki with his partner, Kakuzu. they easily dispose of her, and take her back to the Akatsuki Hideout.
They are next attacked by Team Asuma, and Hidan begins battling Asuma. Asuma uses the Fire ash technique To Harm Hidan. who he quickly links with. Hidan begins to stab Asuma, though avoiding anywhere fatal. When he is about to kill Asuma, Shikamaru Realise that he can only uses his"curse"inside the circle.Shikamaru thanknocks him out of his circle, breaking Hidan's link. Asuma then decapitates Hidan, but Kakuzu soes his head back on with his string. Hidan is then able to get back to his circle and stabs himself in the heart, fatally wounding Asuma.
THE ZOMBIE BROTHERS.
Hidan is later attacked by Team 10 (lead by Hatake Kakashi), who are looking for revenge on Hidan for killing Of Asuma. Kakuzu warns Hidan About The Shadow bind technique. When he's trapped on the shadow shuriken technique Kakuzu states that Hidan is stupid. Kakashi 'kills' Kakuzu. Knowing his 5 hearts Kakashi knows "this guy's good." Hidan and Kakuzu quickly over power Kakashi. Shikamaru when kakashi ask's shikamaru how to beat them, shikamaru says someone has to drove off one of them.He drove Hidan off and trapped him in an arena made of exploding tags. Hidan seemed to be able to cut Shikamaru and get his blood, but it turned out to be Kakuzu's blood, which was gathered earlier on. Shikamaru then stuck Hidan with the arena's exploding tags, and the explosion dismembered him. Shikamaru then buried him in the ground, with Hidan threatening he would get out and bite Shikamaru to death.
