This specific comic has Luke Cage taking on Doctor Doom, and defeating him all on his own. During the times, that raised a lot of complaint from white society due to Cage's ethnicity. This comic is definitely one for the ages.

Luke Cage is Getting His Money 0

The fact that Cage goes half way across the world for his money and respect just makes me shine in side. He lays a real beat down on Doc Doom, and that's what sparks this issue for me. Luke Cage also hands the FF a little trouble in the beginning. Luke Cage is a straight up bad ass. Beautiful, that is the only way to describe this issue. Just beautiful....

A classic 0

It is rare (and, indeed, wonderful) to find a comic book that puts a genuinely fresh spin on the ol' Hero Vs. Villain yarn. Luke Cage: Hero For Hire 9 is such a comic. Luke Cage wants to be paid for his services.  He did a job (in issue #8).  His fee is $200. And he's willing to travel half-way around the world, and get into a major fist-fight with Doctor Doom, to accomplish that end.And everything about it is kinda awesome.This isn't just a superhero tale, this is a story about knowing...
