Has anybody else noticed that aside from Hercules, Hermes is the only other major Olympian depicted on a regular basis that is not a massive jerk? In fact, he is usually the one charged with cleaning up the messes Zeus makes Why do you think that is? Is he too busy to to create mischief? More intelligent than the others? Or because he is the messenger to the mortal world he understands mortals better or there is less of a divide between hm and mortals compared to other gods?
