She started her dark horrific adventures in Brujerias but after people started believing in her, some even wrote in to ask the recipe for the magic potions she made in the comics and after pressure from the government, Editormex Mexicana decided to change the name of the comic from Brujerias (Witchcraft) to Hermelinda Linda.
Hermelinda is blind in one eye and her face is covered in warts. Her potions work in a variety of ways: transformations (even into animals), camouflage and amputation, to name but a few.
