Herge's full name was Georges Rosper Remi. Born May 22 1907 in Etterbeek, Belgium and died on March 3rd 1983 in Brussels. He was inducted into the comic book hall of fame in 2003 and his Tintin comics have been translated into virtually every language read by people all over the world.
