Herakles/Heracles, more commonly known as Hercules, is probably the most well-known of all the Greco-Roman gods. Hercules was born a demigod with physical strength surpassing even that of the gods. The greatest and mightiest hero of ancient Greece, Hercules' name is synonymous with strength.

I know it's a big turnaround but now that I've seen the latest trailer.....looks like another Hollywood love story rather than the Hercules story I thought it was going to be
No, I hate movies based on mythologies that deviate so far from the source material that it might as well be completely original. So I hate Troy, Immortals and Clash of the Titans with a passion.
I'm not really digging the way this Hercules looks - a beardless, blonde surfer-boy type - and I won't see it at the theater might eventually watch it down the road.

It depends for me. If it is actually based on Greek mythology then it should be similar. If it's more of an expansion on Greek mythology, Odyssey for example, I don't really have a problem with them changing it around. Hercules sounds more like it's supposed to be but it won't be at all like it.
Even if I didn't care about the above, it looks like a completely shitty movie.
@powerherc: I think it'd be awesome if he showed as a surprise in Avengers 2. Like have show up out of the blue and save the Avengers asses from something and make some smart ass comment to Thor about it.

@powerherc: What I really want to see is a Herc vs Hulk throw down in live action. It would be cool if after Hulk smashed a couple gods in Avengers 1 if a god showed up and gave him a fair fight. Yes I know Thor should have but he didn't and I'm moving on.

That would be great if Hercules and the Hulk had a live-action battle, especially if Herc was the god whom showed up to give the Hulk a good fight. I agree that Thor should've been a better match for the Hulk in "The Avengers."
@powerherc: Tho to be fair he did give Hulk a better fight than anyone else in the movie did. Plus the only reason Iron Man was capable of fighting Thor as well as he did was because Thor accidentally super charged him, which every Iron Man fan boy I know refuses to admit.

You're right. 100% right.
Iron Man gets too much attention in the movies but if he keeps the public interested maybe he'll be useful in getting more movies made - movies where other Marvel characters can make their cinematic debut.
@powerherc: I have a feeling they're going to start pushing War Machine into the Iron Man role. I have very little to back up that idea, just a gut feeling.
I could see them doing that, though I think it would be a mistake. Iron Man has been a cash cow for Marvel Studios - turning War Machine into Iron Man might kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.
