Who, out of any fictional or real reality, do you envision as a great Herald of Galactus? The sky's the limit. Post a pic of your Herald if you're able, and say why you think he or she would be great for the job.
My choice? Ulquiorra Shiffer, from Bleach. He's exactly the kind of servant Galactus wants: obedient, cold, merciless, efficient, skilled. He's not a savage brute like Morg or Terrax, he doesn't have moral qualms about mass killing like Surfer, and he won't be disloyal like Fallen One. He's ideal.
Heralds of Galactus
Team » Heralds of Galactus appears in 137 issues.
Bestowed with the Power Cosmic by the entity Galactus to scour the universe in search of planets suitable for him to devour.
Choose Your Ideal Herald of Galactus
I think your criteria are great and I really, really, REALLY want to say Tao, but it wouldn't work. For a while he'd be great at the job and totally without mercy, but eventually he'd want to be in charge. I don't know why, maybe just to see if he could, but I can only see it ending with Tao trying to take control. Could he? I don't know, but he'd try.
With Tao not an option, I'd say Cyborg Superman. He and Galactus have the same goals (well, Henshaw would think so at least) and he can be a good follower if the task he's given is spreading death across the universe. He's smart, he's physically capable, he'd love a peek at Galactus' tech, and he's a cosmic threat even before being given the PC. On top of that, he wants the job, he's said as much himself. I still want to say Tao, but Henshaw makes more sense.
For some reason I keep thinking Molly Hayes, even though I know she'd make a horrible Herald. Anyhow, here she is:
My choice of Herald would be.....
STARHAWK
"I think Ronan is too dignified to be a herald. It would be like Thanos or Doom being a Herald...like they already command so much power...that they could actually be in competition with Galactus.
"
Are you sure Chaney isn't already doing that job? Man that pic makes him look even more evil.. I love it.
Juggernaut. not sure how the power mixes, bit Bills gift mixed with it, not to mention
im sure it would go over with Cyttorak .
I've always thought Photon could be a Herald.
She's pretty powerful as it is, So she'd be unstoppable with the power Cosmic.
I think this one is best top be a Herald,
I often hear the argument that Batman wouldn't survive in the Marvel universe because it contains threats such as Galactus. But I have little doubt in my mind that should Galactus pose a threat to the earth, Batman would be first in line to save it by becoming a herald of Galactus (and he would have planned a way to liberate himself from Galactus by studying Silver Surfer.)
Robert Reynolds, aka the Sentry, aka the Void. Knows how to follow a leader. Irrevocably loyal to that leader, following orders without question. Plus Galactus could sort out Sentry's mental issues. Say every time Reynolds feeds Galactus, he switches between the Sentry and the Void. So while his first planet, he may summon Galactus and use his boosted powers to teleport the entire population to safety, after that the Void gets to find the next planet, and destroys any methods they might have had to save themselves.
Picture it, Sentry and the Void constantly battling it out throughout the cosmos, wielding the lives of billions and entire planets against each other as the weapons of their war. For each population Sentry saves, the Void wipes out a planet. All planets fear the Herald of Galactus, but now there will be another element: Will the Herald be the Sentry, or the Void? Will it come wielding terrible salvation, or merely inevitable destruction?
@comicstooge: I've been thinking that would be a great answer. He just seems like the serving type. He brought together the Justice League & took a limited role behind the scenes. He's also more powerful than Superman.
