Grow up.  There's no need to swear.  This is still a family orientated site.

Because Young X-Men has been cancelled... He'll be appearing in X-Men: Legacy which will last longer than a year.

Yes it is, so please stop using it.  And like I said, grow up; I'm not trying to insult people or kill their fun, I was just trying to keep this place clean & friendly for all the family.  But please, don't let me stop you... I'll enjoy the results more than you.

Hrmm... yes.  Very scary.  Welcome to the world of the FLAG feature.

And bringing this back on topic, I was glad that Hellion wasn't in Young X-Men.  The series was slow to get off the ground, and seemed very listless.  Personally, I'd like to see more of those characters again but put to better use.  After the Quest for Magik, the New X-Men looked like it was building up to something.  A new start.  But a few issues later they were disbanded.  Young X-Men picked up the pieces, but never had the same spark as it's predecessor.

I'm also pleased to see Hellion and a lot of the Institute students will be in X-Men: Legacy, as it's a much better title.

@Vortex13: LOL!  To be honest, I didn't used to like him either!  I'd only read the New Mutants & early Academy X stories.  So I just thought he was bratty & spoiled.  As a character, he grew on me more when Kyle & Yost took over the title.  Now I'm interested to see what Carey does with Hellion & the others.  After all, Loa, Trance & co were rarely featured while the New Mutants/Hellions were around ;)

I didn't like hellion because he seemed to dominate the Kyle and Yost book, but as XK said he's grown on me too. Can't say i'm excited to see Carey take over though

I'm excited for the return of the Glamazon, i'm just not excited that Carey will be writing Hellion. He's the love child of Kyle & Yost, can't really see anyone doing a better job with him than them.

I don't want to get too excited about it in case it's disappointing.  But I am looking forward to the new direction for Legacy.  I'd like to know if Ariel is sticking around, but I am really looking forward to seeing more of the kids... and whether (when in the hands of a capable writer) Hellion will do more than just start a fight in the middle of the street ;)

LOL He needs some character development, i  still can't get over how big of an effect Sofia had on him. Also can't say i'm excited to see the story chronicle Rogue.

im with this. ive read alot of Careys interviews now, of course many on the direction of Legacy. He's a fanboy himself, and really cares about characters. also he's rel good at either giving them the amount of spotlight they deserve, and especially fixing watered down broken characters. hell, he even made Ares look cool. try that Bendis!

@CATMANEXE: Yeah, that's the impression I get from Carey, Kyle, Yost & Zeb Wells.  They've clearly read & loved the past material, and now they're updating it without retelling it (although Legacy was a flashback issue for about a year, but we'll just ignore that part ;)

Honestly, no.  The book lacked spark & chemistry.  It felt like it was forced by the events of other titles (moving to San Fran in Uncanny, and the need to have Pierce leak information via Dust in X-Force).  I also don't think having Hellion on the same team as Ink would have worked (two alpha-male protagonists would be testosterone overkill ;)

Oh, Hellion was wayyyyy too good for such a lower caliber team. Dust (and Rockslide and Anole to a lesser extent) being present was this book's only saving grace.
