    Hellion is a powerful mutant telekinetic. He was a student at the Xavier Institute, leader of the Hellions squad and Emma Frost's prize pupil. Hellion lost his hands during Second Coming, received cybernetic replacements, and is currently enrolled at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning.

    Most of the New X-mn have had their.. issues now. Hellions are pretty violent though. I was ok with 7 though

    I like his powers, but damn! He gets thrown around like a rag. Wouldn't be surprised if he became a full out villain.

    One of the main characters. Not the main character. He didn't get arcs revolving around himself (he was a major player in a few, especially 'Mercury falling'), which is what I would expect to see for a main character...at least one that focused around that character. He was definitely one of the main characters, as he received a lot of development in Kyle and Yost's New X-men. Surge, Prodigy and Elixir also received a lot of airtime and were the other main players.  X-23 received a lot of time as well but I didn't feel she developed as much as they did in the series. 
     
    Yeah I can agree with the character device view of Hellion. He's had a lot of bad stuff happen to him lately. Maybe it's to make X-23 upset, or perhaps they're trying to make him tragic enough to be her boyfriend? lol. Supports the idea that Wolverine has...bad things happen to whatever lady he's emotionally involved with. Would make sense for this to effect X-23's object of affection as well. I guess it's like a Claw-bearer's Curse or something...
