I think, and don't hold me to this

Hellion is being portrayed as a bad boy more now. He started of as a bad boy, had some development and is again resorting to his bad boy ways and Xgirl is critiquing Marvel for the decision to reduce Hellion back to the "bad-boy."

Am I in the ball park? If not lets just chat about this instead.

Yeah since he's been such a douchebag to everyone who tried to be his friend, he's gonna have a hard time to finding someone to do it for him unless he uses his Tk but then if he does that then he will get caught every time by the Ceiling Cat since he would be too busy concentrating.

@FortressoftheMoon:  X-23 would willing take care of that problem for him if he asked her too

there was a time at the end of the New Mutants that i think he made a lot of progress. He was in love with X and was more of a leader thn when he was in charge of the Hellions. He grew after the bus explosion, but now he is going back to being a narasasistic, self-centered jerk

I hope this is a minor relapse before he continues on his path of prior development.

@John Valentine: I have a feeling that a lot of writers are going to find it easier to make him a jerk than to make him likeable and develop him.

It all started going noticeably downhill for him character-wise during Utopia. Thaaaaaaaaank you, Matt Fraction.

I believe I read in an interview that he'd go through a few negative experiences before coming out stronger and better-developed, on the course to being a hero. I feel as though Carey's set it up so he has two choices; he can follow the route to embracing his darkness (X-Men: Legacy #244) or he can step above it a develop into a hero, working on the solid foundation set up in Kyle and Yost's New X-Men and partly in their X-Force too.

@jordama:
it's hard to be likable when your hands are lost, the girl you were interested in left Utopia, and your supposed best friend (Rockslide) is hanging with Surge of all people.

I'm closing this, as this thread has once again descended into pointless spam.
