Grandson to Carter Slade who was the first Phantom Rider. Recruited by Daisy Johnson for Nick Fury's Secret Invasion strike force team.
The man we as readers know as Hellfire was discovered by Daisy Johnson a.k.a Quake at a local convenience store. Hellfire tells Quake that he discovered his powers when a guy threw a chain at him. Due to instinct and or reflex, Hellfire caught the chain and it began to emit fire. Soon, Hellfire begins working for Nick Fury and is utterly pissed off with the consequences. Because, there is no payments and the obstacles the group goes through is completely horrific. Hellfire becomes shocked when eating Chinese food with the " Secret Warriors", when Phobos tells him that he will indeed die.Note: J.T. Slade seems to have affection for fellow teammate Quake.
