In 1944, U.S. soldiers discovered an infant demon with a giant stone hand. They named him Hellboy, later founding the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. Hellboy is the world's greatest paranormal investigator. He was born to summon the apocalypse, but has instead devoted his life to fighting evil forces.
I recently ordered The library volumes of Hellboy 1-6. Does this tell the complete story up to date? Is there any thing else I should add to the reading list?

The trade paperbacks are pretty much the complete collection of all Hellboy stories. They collect everything, from the miniseries to the one-shots Mignola did for Dark Horse Presents and stuff.
If I could recommend anything complementary, it would be the B.P.R.D. volumes. They're not as interesting as the Hellboy issues, but there's some good stuff in there (Check out B.P.R.D.: 1946!).
