Plot Summary
Overview
Hellboy's first adventure reaches its chilling climax far beneath the tumbling walls of the Cavendish mansion, where Hellboy battles the grasping fingers of a giant bony hand as the world lurches toward its horrific end through the unholy sacrifice of Hellboy's pal Liz Sherman. Hellboy's ichthyoid companion could save the day, but Max Sapien is... gone. Ghosts, tentacles, fire, brimstone, paralysis, massive destruction -- it's all here!
Also featuring the final chapter in the mind-boggling origin of Monkeyman and O'Brien, where O'Brien finds herself amazingly changed, setting the stage for the Monkeyman & O'Brien miniseries this fall.

After Hellboy refuses to help Rasputin raise the Ogdru Jahad, he recruits liz and tries to tap into her power, all the while Hellboy is doing battle with Sven Olafsen who is now completely transformed into a Frog creature. All three of the previous issues have been both smart and exciting, this issue is no different. This is a very well written series and issue. One thing I really liked about the issue is that while Hellboy gets the last lick in, every member of the B.P.R.D. gets a chance to shine. Tell you the truth I have never been a fan of Mike Magnolias art, it works for the darker stories.
