    "No Future" after exiting "India"

It this point of Peter Milligan's run on Hellblazer I was on board for the long over due adventure John Constantine and us (his fans) deserve.  This trade paperback is broken into two parts: the first part is the India arc that wraps up the Phoebe "Hooked" arc and then the second "No Future" arc, which Peter Milligan is setting up the Shade Epic... Does this mean John has "No Future?"

The India arc I felt was cut one issue two short, it is almost like they rushed the arc because it was just the set up anyway and the real story is going to begin.  One of the reasons why the arc could of been but an issue, is that it sets up better Milestones losing one issue in India.  No Future needed two issues.

This transition would feel a little choppy without reading the next arc, but be a sure the series really picks up and India would not before gotten, but left as a nice way to end the Phoebe stories.

No Future would be the second set of twins regular cover artist Simon Bisley (Biz) would pencil the interiors.  This change of art is a nice touch. Without us knowing at the time, Peter Milligan and the Hellblazer teams were setting up a visual continuity.  Regular artist Giuseppe Camuncoli (penciler) and Stefano Landini (inker) would establish the base visual narration.  Their art would almost count as "Modern day".  Biz's pencils would serve as a change in time, a time where John Constantine returned to his punk rocker days. Within these two issues of "No future", Constantine would deal with a cult of Sid Vicious worshipers and establish more of a relationship with weird relationship Epiphany Greaves.

This trade is the last of the "sane" stories for a while, because next we meet Shade and John's life sees "No Future" only past and present.  This trade is important because the "No Future" issues would serve as a prologue to the great insanity that Peter Milligan and Co. will bring this series.  Because it is the end of one arc and the start of the new major act, this would be a pretty decent place to jump in as well.

    Cheers
