Lord of the Dance

This is simply a brilliant issue. John encounters what he believes is a ghost but turns out to be the Lord of the Dance, the ancient pagan god of revelry and dance. In ancient Britain he was a powerful God that enjoyed carousing during winter ceremonies with the locals and even became the subject of a famous song.

However, when Christians began converting the ancient Britons he was soon forgotten, removed completely from the song, forgotten about and his power waned. Now walking the earth as a wayward spirit he is shown by Constantine that carousing, dancing and partying still exist. Taken by Constantine to a local pub his faith in merriment is restored.

There is also a touching moment between John and the current apple of his eye, the lovely Kit.

Awesome issue and a pleasure to read.
