Story 
The surviving magicians decide to work together against the looming threat of the Shadow Dog,Map devises a plan to protect London.Deep within the hotel,Arcane and Clarice search for a room suitable for Map's plan.They find a room that saw a brutal rape committed in it some fifty years ago and decide to use it,John uses a a stick of chalk to draw a power cord from the ruined remains of an old television set to the nearest electrical socket.He tells Angie that Map can use some Voodoo to bring an elecrical current through,John then promises Jason will not get hurt as Angie begins to looks for him.She locates him sitting in the basement next to the covered remains of Chalice,he states he doubt John's ability to defeat the Shadow Dog also the fact she is sleeping with him hasn't exactly endeared him to her brother.As they leave the basement,Map talks to the city above him calling its power to his fingertips.At the hotel everyone gathers around the tv as madness continues to spread through the world,Jason states he learned whilst possessed by the Celtic spirits - passing through the first door let the Shadow Dog into the world, the second let it possess individual hosts whilst breaking through the third would let it enter the collective unconscious of humanity.Given that only individuals have been possessed so far, he assumes that the third door still stands shut.On his way back to the Hotel Map is attacked by a possessed prostitute he quickly dispatches her but use of his magic,John and Angie share a tender moment when Clarice interrupts informing them that its time to begin.Arcane has the room prepared with mystical symbols, he says psychic feedback from the terror felt by the unfortunate rape victim is strong enough to hide the magicians from the searching Shadow Dog.Alba returns and is ready to participate in the ritual,John tells everyone she's the equivalent of a magical battery and that they'll be able to draw on her strength over the coming ordeal.He states that he will act as the totem,he's able to assume this role courtesy of the lock of his hair Angie buried in Eden for him.The ritual begins as John establishes a connection with the Shadow Dog,they lash out at it with the combined force of their magic but something goes wrong and the creature follows the attack back to its source, appearing in the room before them as a huge dog like creature.Jason gets the Dog to attack him as he snatches him up in its maw, razor sharp teeth tearing into his body.Alba states she has lost power but Jason tells her he took it before unleashing an arc of bright blue light at the Dog.After the flash the Dog is gone and Jason lies bloody on the ground,Angie rushes to his side but when he speaks it's in a voice that isn't his own.He taunts John,making it clear that he's made a terrible mistake, goading him with the fact that he was fooled with "a hint from a dead man and one from a demon". The possessed Jason states his murderous intent and that mankind is doomed as he dies right before the magicians eyes.

Carey delivers a twist i didnt see coming and up the stakes for a battle that Hellblazer readers have never seen before.As if this storyline wasnt good enough the hits keep on coming as Carey makes this a classic Alongside Dangerous Habits and Haunted.
