Brave champion of the planet Eternia, He-Man battles Skeletor and the forces of evil to bring peace to the universe.

History

The planet Eternia is split into two sides, the good Light side and the evil Dark side. The Light side is ruled by King Randor of Eternia and Queen Marlena from Earth. The king and Queen have two children, Prince Adam and Princess Adora (She-Ra). Their kingdom is fair and just. Technology and Magic are apart of the everyday life for the people in this realm. On the Dark side of the planet a sinister force awaits in the shadows for the perfect time to attack. Lead by the evil Skeletor, the forces of darkness try time and time again to claim Eternia as their own.

At the center of the planet, on the border between the light and the dark stands Castle Grayskull. For countless ages the Sorceress of Grayskull has watched over Eternia but the armies of darkness grow stronger and Eternia needs a champion to protect it. Prince Adam was chosen to be the planet’s protector. With the Sword of Power he can summon the strength to overcome any evil. When Adam raises the sword and says By the Power of Grayskull he becomes He-Man, the Most Powerful Man in the Universe! By his side, both as Prince Adam and as He-Man, is his faithful yet cowardly companion, Cringer. When He-Man’s sword is pointed at Cringer, he too changes and is turned into an animal of great courage known as Battle Cat. Together, He-Man and Battle Cat fight Skeletor and his minions from conquering Grayskull and Eternia.

Only three know Prince Adam’s secret: The Sorceress, mystic of Castle Grayskull, Duncan “Man-at-Arms” of the Eternian Royal Guard, and Orko, magician and jester of the Eternian Royal Court.

Powers

He-Man has extraordinary physical strength, speed and endurance, and is regarded as a charismatic leader. He has been shown capable of knocking over opponents with his breath, and even causing tornados by running incredibly fast. What is not known is how long he can remain in his He-Man form. At one point he is shown reverting back to Prince Adam after being hit but a powerful explosion, suggesting that there may be a limit to his power.

Most of his powers are gained through a mystical connection with Castle Grayskull, and Prince Adam can use the Sword of Power to transform into He-Man whenever those powers are needed. He also shares telepathic contact with the Sorceress of Grayskull through the sword.

He is an outstanding swordsman and proficient with many other weapons such as axes.
