How strong is Hawkman?

I have read on some fourms he is a 50 tonner then a five tonner then barely as strong as an olypic weight lifter. I've just started reading his comics and in the new 52 he has to be about 8 due to him ripping a side of a helicopter off with relitive eaise and back tossing a zombie from the middle of a very large bridge off of it easly. If no one knows his new 52 strenght then what was his strenght pre-flashpoint.
