Great stuff G-man, but i'm not really enjoying hawkeye and mockingbird, they seem too uninteresting for me, i like them as part of the avengers but not in their own book.
Why is it that when a character returns into their own series or from the dead, suddenly the nemesis of this character seems to return from limbo too?
Hawkeye
Character » Hawkeye appears in 4822 issues.
Trained by criminals and inspired by heroes, Clint Barton has grown from a troubled youth into one of the greatest heroes on Earth. The world knows him best as Hawkeye: Earth's Mightiest Marksman. A member of the Avengers for many years, he has left the team on occasion because of team friction. But he always returns, ready to face any threat.
Comic Catch Up: Hawkeye & Mockingbird 1-3
Great segment !!! I was really hoping to buy this series but I just couldn't get around to it so it was perfect that you did this.
I have been liking this series so far, I love when Avengers go street level and take a break from the bigger attacks, Thanos killing, Acopolypse doing trash... my only complaint is... the mystical stuff with the SPirit of Vengance, its a neat idea... i just wished theyd held off for a bit and focused on Crossfire and a illegal arms shipment. That being said. I do like the book alot.
I'll have to pick it up. I do like Hawkeye, now that he's hawkeye again. I didn't like him as Ronin.
" Without a doubt, best series to come out of the Heroic Age. I'm loving it "@avengpymhawk said:
" This is without a doubt a great series so far. "Yes and Yes!
I think this has become into my favorite ongoing now... and I am heavily entranced by the story...
Hopeful this so called spirit of vengeance can be killed again because that's what it deserves. Vengeance for letting a rapist die.....I say I'll bring steak for the roast in hell then rather than doing that. lol
G-man can the next one be about Thanos Imperative, I would like to see your take on the first 3 issues of the arc?
I don't understand why this comic is getting high ratings. It's generic and boring. I don't think Hawkeye or Mockingbird are capable of carrying a series. It just isn't interesting enough. And the colors are kind of dull...
But seriously, this book has a lot of personality to it. It has an espionage tone and the characters are filled with personality. It is a very refreshing take right now during the Heroic Age because it's already in the think of its plot, not just starting too. By the end of the second issue, I knew I was gonna be hooked.
And the upcoming arcs sound awesome! Don't cancel this book so that you can read about the Avengers sitting around eating pizza some more!
I absolutely love this series. Jim McCann shows how a modern writer can still respect characters pasts.
So glad Clint is Hawkeye again, Ronin was an OK character but never really got why he quit being Hawkeye to begin with
" Why am I not reading this? It sounds good so far... "Yeah, wrote it off as some sort of Black Canary/Green Arrow clone, but this sounds a little more interesting. Hopefully they'll collect the first arc in a trade, and I can read it in one go.
