Origin
Clinton Francis Barton was born in Waverly, Iowa. By the time Clint was 8 years old, his parents died in a car accident because his father had been drinking and driving. Clint and his brother Bernard were sent to an orphanage. However, the two of them did not like the orphanage so Clint and Bernard decided to run away and join the circus. Clint was trained by the original Swordsman and Trick Shot. Clint would soon discover that the both Swordsman and Trick shot were really criminals. Clint refused to join their criminal ways, which resulted in Swordsman beating Clint and left him for dead. He continued his training with what Trick shot has taught him. He discovered he had a natural ability at archery. Out on the road on his own, he came up with the costumed identity of Hawkeye and decided he wanted to become a hero after being inspired when he saw Iron Man defend the city. Clint’s first attempt in the hero business when he tried to stop some armed robbers robbing a jewelry store. In the end the police mistakenly thought he was a thief and chased after him. While on the run from the police, Clint would run into the Black Widow. Clint would be convinced by Black Widow that he should battle Iron Man and help her steal information from Stark technology for International Peace. He would eventually realize that the Black Widow was actually working for someone evil and did not want any part in it, she would be able to convince him to fight Iron Man one last time and he agrees. He had a chance to kill Iron Man but went to aid Black Widow when she got seriously injured.
Avengers
Clint Barton
Hawkeye would later become an Avenger when he broke into the mansion and demanded to be let on the team. He would be accepted and began working along side Captain America, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch. Hawkeye had wanted to persuade Black Widow into joining the Avengers with him but the others opposed the idea due to her past as a soviet spy. Eventually the two of them would go their separate ways. Hawkeye became one of the best Avengers in abilities and in spirit. Hawkeye remained on the Avengers for many years and went through many roster changes. Hawkeye would lose his brother to Egghead during this time. Also during his time with the Avengers, Hawkeye became romantically involved with teammate Scarlet Witch. Eventually, Scarlet Witch would marry the other teammate Vision. Hawkeye has also been on several solo missions while working for the Avengers. During one of his solo missions Hawkeye would meet a former SHIELD agent named Barbara Morse, a.k.a. Mockingbird while she was investigating a technology company ran by Crossfire. After the two of them defeated Crossfire together, Hawkeye and Mockingbird eloped. Hawkeye was in an incident that left him 80% deaf in both ears, he would use hearing aids to help him hear.
West Coast Avengers
The Vision would ask Hawkeye and Mockingbird to create the Avengers West Coast. The two were the most important members on the team, but their relationship hit a brick wall when they had a conflict of interest when it comes to killing the enemies. It was when they went on a time travel adventure and Mockingbird had gotten drugged and made believed to be in love with the Phantom Rider. Eventually she was free from the control, then she defeated the Phantom Rider and left him to fall to his death. When Hawkeye discovered that Mockingbird had let Phantom Rider fall to his death, he broke it off with her. They would try to reconcile their marriage and joined the Great Lakes Initiative. Eventually it would not work and Hawkeye returned to the West Coast Avengers alone. When Hawkeye returned, he discovered that his leader position had been reassigned to Hank Pym and U.S.Agent because they had more experience. Hawkeye never got along with U.S. Agent and they would often clash at each other.

Hawkeye and Mockingbird would reconcile again but it seemed this would be for good. Mockingbird was soon kidnapped by Ultron, he tries to create a wife for him using her brain waves. Hawkeye would rescue Mockingbird but his professionalism during the rescue was so poor that Hawkeye had decided to step down as chairman of the West Coast Avengers. During one last mission as Avengers, Mockingbird was seemingly killed by Mephisto. After Mockingbird’s death, Hawkeye left the team and the rest of the West Coast Avengers would disband. Most of them went on to work for other teams but Hawkeye began wandering the world tortured by the death of Mockingbird. During his wandering he would fight Viper and Trick shot. Eventually Hawkeye would return to the Avengers. Unfortunately for him, it was right before the battle with Onslaught. After the fight with Onslaught, all the heroes including Hawkeye were seemingly killed, but would be brought back to life thanks to Franklin Richards and his pocket universe. With the “Heroes Reborn” and all the heroes being returned to normal, so was Hawkeye but also his deafness was cured in the process.
Thunderbolts
Hawkeye
After all the heroes were returned to normal, Hawkeye would fall into another alternate universe along with other Avenger members. The Avengers would meet Justice and Firestar, the two of them are allowed to join the Avengers thanks to Hawkeye’s persuasion. After a few more adventures, Hawkeye would quit the Avengers officially. Feeling a need for a change, he decided to work with the Thunderbolts, a team of reformed villains. He offered to lead them if they continued fighting for good. Hawkeye would continue as the team’s leader and mentor helping many of the reformed villains be able to atone for their past sins. During a mission in hell, the Thunderbolts attempted to save Mockingbird’s soul but couldn’t, instead they rescue Hellcat and she was returned to the living. Eventually Hawkeye became romantically involved with his Thunderbolt teammate Moonstone.
During one of the Thunderbolts mission they made a crucial mistake when they defeated the Scourge who were under the control of Baron Strucker. Hawkeye had to turn himself over to the authorities and the rest of the Thunderbolts were forced to retire. Eventually Hawkeye would be rescued by SHIELD. Hawkeye and some of the Thunderbolts would be teleported to Counter-Earth and would fight the Crimson Cowl there. Eventually they would defeat it and Hawkeye would rejoin the Avengers. Hawkeye and Wasp would have a fling together when he returns.
Scarlet Witch's Mess
When the Scarlet Witch went insane and altered reality she unintentionally kills Hawkeye when she creates Krees for the Avengers to fight. Hawkeye dies when he sacrifices himself to destroy a Kree starship. Hawkeye would make a return during House
House of M Hawkeye
of M when Scarlet Witch once again altered reality to her liking. When Hawkeye and the rest of the heroes realize what Scarlet Witch had done, they went after her. Hawkeye travels alone though and arrives at Genosha while Doctor Strange was talking to the Scarlet Witch. Hawkeye shoots Scarlet Witch in the head but it does not kill her. He demands answers from Scarlet Witch and the two begin to argue. One of Scarlet Witch’s children would stop the argument when he dissolves Hawkeye into thin air. (After House of M, Hawkeye would make a brief appearance in She-Hulk comics. Hawkeye was brought to the future from the past to serve as a juror She-Hulk had intended to reveal to Hawkeye about his fate in the future but would eventually fail when Hawkeye was returned to the past.) After reality was restored Hawkeye reawakens in the Avengers Mansion seemingly to have not disappeared with the false reality. He discovers an article in the newspaper talking about his death and the proceeds to take off his costume and pinned it to a wall. The Avengers realize there is an intruder in the mansion and rush to the area that was detected. They discover Hawkeye’s costume and a newspaper cut out of an article about his death. Hawkeye then goes out and seeks Dr. Strange to examine him, Dr. Strange confirms that he is real, alive, and healthy. Hawkeye’s next agenda is to find Scarlet Witch and demand answers from her. His first stop was at Genosha but she was not there, he then proceeds to go to Wundagore Mountain and finds her there. He fends off some bandits that were after Wanda but realizes quickly that she has no memories of her entire past. Wanda kisses Hawkeye and leads to the two of them making love.
New Avengers and Ronin
Recently During the New Avengers, Hawkeye visited the Sanctum Sanctorum. The New Avengers were there and Hawkeye said he had come to tell Dr. Strange that he was right about not finding closer. He then said if the New Avenger's were Cap's Team they should be fighting Iron Man. They offered him a spot on the team but he said he didn't want to be Hawkeye anymore. So they gave him the Ronin costume. He then went to Japan with the New Avengers to save Echo aka Maya Lopez.
Kate Bishop
Kate Bishop
Kate Bishop is the third to use the name Hawkeye and she chose to make her costume appearance patterned on the first Hawkeye and his deceased ex-wife Mockingbird.
Kate tagged around with the Young Avengers after a early rescue attempt, during the rescue showed skill and a cool head ness in tough situations. Strong willed and blunt, she is also an excellent archer.
Ending up at the Avengers Mansion with the rest of the Young Avengers and donned the gear of Mockingbird and Hawkeye, as well as what may be Swordsman's sword and Black Widow's belt and invited herself to join the team.
Powers
Though he has no superpowers, Hawkeye is still force to be reckoned with. He is a peak-athlete, possessing exception, strength, speed, stamina, and agility. He is a world-class archer and marksman. Hawkeye is also a talented acrobat, performing acrobatic maneuvers that an Olympic gold medalist would envy. He has been trained in hand-to hand combat by Captain America himself, making him an accomplished combatant. Hawkeye is also shown to be a fine leader and strategist.
His most famous ability, Hawkeye is able to hurl or fire projectiles with extreme speed and accuracy. He is also able to fire or throw objects against walls or other obstacles, resulting in complicated rebounding situations. Hawkeye is also known for his utilization of several "trick arrows" containing explosives, electrical discharges, nets, etc.
As Goliath, Clint used Hank Pym's "Pym Particles" to increase his height and strength.
Hawkeye is one of few people able to handle Captain America's shield.

Alternate Realities
Earth-1610
Hawkeye of the Ultimate universe was first partnered with Black Widow before becoming a member of the Ultimates. Later on while on he Ultimates his family was killed by Liberator agents. In result Hawkeye killed Black Widow after it was known that she was the reason of his family being killed because she was part of the Liberators. Now he's still part of the Ultimates but wears a new costume with a bullseye on his head.

In the House of M reality Hawkeye was a member of Luke Cage's Human Resistance Movement.
Earth-2149
Hawkeye of the Marvel Zombies reality was as most other heroes turned into a zombie.

In this reality, also called Battleworld, Hawkeye and She-Hulk had a son called Mustang.
