    Every rose has its thorn.

Story: This issue starts off with the W.C.A. headquaters getting a signal that someone is flatlining at the exploded warehouse. 5 minutes earlier Bobbi broke free of the mind control she was under. Clint is fine but Fortune was shot in the lung by Clint when Phantom Rider had everyone under her control. Dom is bleeding badly and they can't move him. Bobbi scouts out the area with her goggles and sees a couple of beams that Clint can shoot down with his putty arrow so they can hide out inside to be safe from the explosion. The explosions are over and they survive. Bobbi takes over the plans now and her rage is taking over her. They return to the W.C.A. headquaters and Fortune gets help. They come up with a plan. They have Fortune and Bangs explode all of Crossfire's warehouses. Clint has all the members of the team do something and the W.C.A. assembles. Crossfire finds out about the his warehouses exploding. Bobbi figures out how to block Phantom Rider's mental messages and has figured out a way to send Phantom Rider a message. Clint and Bobbi wait at the Museum of Natural History for Crossfire and Phantom Rider to arrive. They arrive and they send robots straight at Clint and Bobbi. Bobbi grabs the earn where the original Phantom Rider's spirit is. Clint and Bobbi use teleporting doors to get to Spirit Peak Nevada and take Crossfire and Jaime with them. This is where Bobbi let the original Phantom Rider fall to his death. A well deserved death. Jaime's father is with them and says that he wants his daughter back. He turns into his form of the Phantom Rider and is going to get his daughter back by force.
Writing: I thought that this was a solid issue. There was a lot of Bobbi's past with Phantom Rider brought up in this issue and I loved that. Especially when they went to Spirit Peak where it all happened. Some of the things in this issue didn't really make sense like where were the teleporting doors they went through to get to Spirit Peak. The action in this issue was pretty good but not as good as usual.
Characters: The characters in this issue were awesome. I love the characters throughout this whole series. Bobbi was really cool in this issue with her leadership attitude and how she was finally able to get back at Jaime Slade using that two way mental thing.
Dialogue: I really love it. When Clint said W.C.A. Assemble it just felt so classic and awesome. I know it doesn't mean West Coast Avengers but come on you gotta love the nostalgia.

    Art: David Lopez is amazing!
Cover: The cover scheme of this lock on look and this sneaky spy look is getting tiresome. I also thought that Hawkeye's feet looked weird.
Penciling: David Lopez is one of my favorite artists. His work is amazing.
    Coloring: Just Great!

Reasons to and not to pick up.
    Reasons to pick up:
The story was good and the art is just amazing. There is some great nostalgia and awesome references.
Reasons not to pick up: This issue felt like it was missing something. The action wasn't as good as the other issues. Some things in this issue didn't make sense in this issue.
Verdict: Pick it up 4 out of 5.

Hawkeye, Mockingbird and Dominic Fortune finally turn the tables of Crossfire and the Phantom Rider, sending them fleeing to Spirit Peak, Nevada - - a site that brings up some horrible memories for everybody.  The Good   Part of the fun of reading titles in a shared universe is that you get to see inversions of even the subtlest genre tropes. In this case, I got special enjoyment out of Mockingbird showing the telepathic conversation back down the Phantom Rider's throat (or, more accurately, bac...

      Hawkeye & Mockingbird Issue 4 Review 0

As if it needed further reinforcement, this issue solidified Hawkeye & Mockingbird as the automatic top of my stack of comics whenever it comes out. I mean, seriously. This book is fantastic. It's got great character beats, great art, a fun tone, and it really hooks you in with it's tone and pacing. If somebody is new to comics I'd recommend this series to them, since it really showcases some of the best work you can find in Marvel right now, and you don't even need to know anything for it. ...
