Hatter M: The Looking Glass Wars is the first volume of the Hatter M series written by Frank Beddor and Liz Cavalier based on the novel trilogy The Looking Glass Wars written by Frank Beddor which is inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventure in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass and is written as if Beddor's version was the original story.

    Summary

Hatter Madigan is a solider and royal guard to the Queen on a mission to find and protect the princess Alyss who, after a palace coup, was lost when leaving Wonderland through the Pool of Tears; the portal that connects Wonderland to our world. He finds himself in Paris, France in 1859. He is an expert swordsman but also possesses a favorite weapon in the form of his top hat; awarded to him on his millinery graduation it unfolds when thrown into a circle of blades and boomerangs back to its owner's hand.
