The Hasslein Curve is a type of time dilation theorised by Dr. Otto Hasslein of NASA during the 1970s. His theory was proven correct during the events chronicled in [[Planet of the Apes:vol:2699]]. Edit
The Hasslein Curve indicates that time is cyclical, but not necessarily that this cycle is fixed. Rather time should be thought of as a spiral perpetuating events interlocking with past and future. However, time travel changes these events and therefore the trajectory of the Hasslein Curve. In other words, divergent timelines appear when time travellers interfere.
