when did she become so freaken hot?

Um, she's always been hot?
@joygirl: how is it horrible i see nouthing wrong with it
@lifeofvibe: ... ... ... ... ... ...If you don't see it there's no way I can explain it. It is a travesty, a visual incarnation of sickening character assassination, and I every time I see it I can't decide whether to vomit or harm myself.
@joygirl: come now cant you at least try to explain and besides that whole thing were shes all coverd up was starting to look stupider as the year whent bye
@joygirl: i wonder is it because she so pale?
@lifeofvibe: Stupider year after year? Stupider? She looked stupid and yet now she looks great? Harley Quinn's classic outfit was revolutionary. It literally, on its own, brought the classical jester character back into pop culture and made female jesters sexy again, paving the way for characters like Zazie, Maytag, Tira, and tons of others. Her facepaint and skintight, acrobatic harlequin costume was so unique in its perfection. Now with Suicide Squad she's been stuffed into a corset with her ever-expanding milk-white balloon tits bursting out, booty shorts, and BLUE hair with daggers all over her. The character you seem to like so much is NOT Harley Quinn and never has been. She is a mockery of an amazing and iconic character.
@supbatz: i wonder how olde most of you are
@joygirl: i cant argue with you can i?
@lifeofvibe: You won't get anything out of it.
@fuchsia_nightingale: but nobody ever gave me the first time she was shown a complete hotie
1992, "Joker's Favor".
yup yup
Well, I'm not that well versed in the character's history, but I believe that the first time her classic look was radically re-imagined was in the Arkham Asylum video game. That look was much more sexualized, and probably informed DC's current incarnation of the character. As far as her first depiction as a "hotie" goes... guess that depends on your artistic taste and who drew her.
@avenging_x_bolt: somebody give me the pictue i dont knooooooooooow

so very much this- thank you for saying it joygirl
Wow another I hate her new look thread !
either way, she's been hot since forevers
I don't think this is what it was meant to be, but anything involving the New 52 Harley quickly becomes that. Personally, I like her new look.

we're talking about the episode. it was Harley's first ever appearance
@avenging_x_bolt: on the comic or the show?

i like it too. but i understand and empathise with Harley fans. especially after what happened to the Creeper.
@avenging_x_bolt: sorry just looked back on the comments was't keeping up very well

I like the look too, but not for her- this is basicly a new character, some pirate wench- not our Harley
@avenging_x_bolt: on the comic or the show?
show/ever. Harley was created for the show and then later adapted into the comics.

It's been nearly two years, Harley fans should get over it and...
@the_stegman: Never.
@joygirl: Submit!
@the_stegman: Ain't gonna happen. DC Comics can submit instead.
I say Harley really started getting sexed up when Arkham Asylum came out.
That's the first time I remember her really wearing a different costume outside her classic one.

Old enough to know that there's a major difference between "hot" and overtly promiscuous.
Tried. Can't do it.
Well, I can get over the look, but not the personality changes.

But constantly complaining about it every chance you get isn't gonna do anything to reverse it.

She swiped her look from Nurse Joker (The Dark Knight 2008)... Arkham Asylum came out in 2009
@the_stegman: Not complaining will accomplish less.
@supbatz: There isn't even that much of a personality change, and don't bring up that overly slutty crap, making out with Deadshot, ONE GUY, does not make Harley a slut, dressing in booty shorts and showing cleavage doesn't make Harley a slut. Is she sexualized? Of course, and she plays that to her favor, but she's not going around banging every guy she meets, she's more or less the same Harley.
@joygirl: Y'know what will accomplish the most? Not buying Suicide Squad, low sales figures is what gets DC's attention, not rants on the internet.
@the_stegman: I don't buy it.

maybe they're doing both

sometimes it does : P and it allows an outlet for anger
@the_stegman: It's not so much the sluttiness (true, she's more promiscuous and less in love with the Joker; I can deal with that). It's just that she's not fun anymore. I read her now and see female Joker rather than Harley Quinn. She's lost the charming ditziness and cuteness that made me fall in love with her in the first place. The idea that she may be misguided, but she's not evil and completely antagonistic.
And I realize that hearing complaints about it all the time might be tiresome, but if a fan has followed and loved a character for over a decade and then suddenly sees that character deteriorate to a shadow of their former selves, said fan has every right to complain about the change. Harley was what got me into comics. So I'm pretty darn pissed that she's been changed so drastically.

Really? Huh, see I think she's still pretty funny, she's the ONLY funny thing about Suicide Squad, and I think she's still in love with the Joker, but she's developing more as a character, branching away from that, though I think she's still plenty devoted to him. I think she's still more or less the same Harley that I've read pre Flashpoint. But hey, I could be missing something, I'm no expert ha.
Also, as a fellow comic fan, I can understand that changing a character that you love is painful to watch, but as I mentioned before, besides the wardrobe, she's really not that different.
@the_stegman: It's really a matter of opinion then, I suppose. You are right, from what I read of Suicide Squad, she did has some comical lines. But I just felt like I was seeing a different brand of comedy than what I was used to seeing from her. Less fun and cartoonish and more weighted with malice and sadism. And don't get me wrong, I'm all for developing Harley and branching her away from the Joker. That's one thing in Suicide Squad that I wholeheartedly approved of. I am just not a fan that it came at the expense of her being fun.
Agree to disagree I suppose. Perhaps I'm being more critical than a casual fan should be but that's just my opinion on the matter. I understand that other opinions on the matter might be just as valid.
@supbatz: I kinda feel like if they gave her a limited series or maybe relaunched the Gotham City Sirens, we could see more of her lighthearted side. I mean, the very nature of Suicide Squad is kinda dark, and she reflects that, but maybe if she was put in a more carefree title (y'know, not having a bomb implanted in her neck and being forced to kill people) then we could have more of the "Ha ha's"
