    Harleen Quinzel was a psychiatric resident at Arkham Asylum, where she met the incarcerated Joker. Falling in love with her patient, she conspired to break him out of prison and eventually became his lover and loyal sidekick, Harley Quinn. She eventually left him to be her own woman, and has been enemy and ally of Batman, and various other heroes.

    NEVER!!!! The magic of Harley and what drives her as such a likable character is her distorted and twisted behavior that she herself is aware of. Batgirl is a conservative good girl. While Harley is insane and works best as an anti-villain. Not to much taking away from Harley's complexity would kill her fan base.

    Never say never! Batman appointed Harvey Dent as Gotham's protector before. Harley becoming Batgirl isn't such a stretch.

    The difference being Harvey Dent actually has good inside him and was once Batman's friend, whereas Harley is Joker's demented girlfriend.

    @theindomitableman: Well.. idk like if she decided to completely stay on the hero path i would rather her still stay as Harley Quinn. That's my opinion though. I've got to admit though you came up with an interesting idea.

    Harley Quinn masquerading as Batgirl would be awesome and totally hilarious, I don't think she could be Batgirl but it would be cool if she stole a costume and ran around like that for a few days.

    I personally loved it when Huntress pretended to be Batgirl. That was so badass. Black hair, totally swiped the mantle, Batman was so pissed...it was great.

    Oh for some reason I thought that was Poison Ivy because there was one issue of the Harley Quinn series where Harley was busted by Batman and two cops and she had Ivy dress up as Batgirl while the cops were about to take her into custody to whisk her out of the situation.

    I actually kind like that idea, she does have a small amount of good in her. but it would have to obey the guidelines.

    1#: She would have to not be afraid to kill. She still has a largley devious side.

    2#: She should NOT NOT NOT work with Batman. Only as a rival vigilante.

    3#: She should be a mercenary if anything.

    I think that Harley as a hero would have a promising start, but end with a horrible SCREEEEEEECH!!!! CRASH!!!!! BURN!!!!!

    It is possible Harley still has good in her. I mean, everything she does is manipulated by the Joker. Take her "Mr J" out of the equation, and maybe she's not so bad after all?
